WIP Wednesday: Omegas at the Club and Kevin is Innocent?

I’ve mostly gotten words in on the next Too Close book and the book for the next Dirty Daddy anthology. But I’ve also gotten words in on the book I’m writing for Patreon (a bit of exhibitionism and voyeurism) and I’ve been playing around with ideas for bonus content.

There are a lot of places that the content goes so there’s always a list of ideas that I want to work on and a list of things I need to work out. Most of the time those are never the same and it would make my life a lot easier if they would cooperate and work together more.

Here’s a peek at the anthology book that’s part of the omegaverse world. One guess who’s talking here.

He pointed out his favorite architectural features just as easily as he pointed out a spanking bench on the far side of the lounge. “I’d recommend a gag or something like that if you’re going to use that one. Some subs are loud and we don’t want to interrupt conversations.”

As he made it to the top of the stairs, he frowned. “People really do come just to sit and talk. Clothes on and no orgasms. It’s the strangest thing.”

On one level, I agreed with him, but I could see myself doing the same thing.

Kevin’s trying to look innocent but it’s not working. I think I’m on his side with this one, though.

“Master Maddox, I can’t be punished when I followed all the rules, right?” It was time to get closer to the weak link just in case, so I quickly hurried around the back of the car to put some distance between me and the drama queen who made the punishment rules. “And I was good because I trusted Bryan.”

Yep…Jeremy couldn’t find any loopholes in that either.

Maddox’s cough said he approved of my logic even though Dom rules said he wasn’t allowed to admit that yet. He had to wait until Jeremy wasn’t trying to decide how to strangle me first. That seemed to be a Dom rule they all tried to keep even though it was ridiculous.

If I was cute and funny, he should be allowed to laugh.

“I’m pretty sure…” Maddox had to take a deep breath as his giggles tried to return. “I’m pretty sure you’d look more innocent if you just stopped talking.”

Ugh.

Sage thinks the next big bonus scene/chapter should be the scene where Lorne ended up in jail. I agree with her but I’m just not sure how it starts. I might have to reread a bit of the dragon shenanigans to see if that will spark an idea.

Let me know if you have ideas for bonus scenes you want to see or if you know how the jail scene should start. Alright, back to words and my to-do list. Wish me luck getting through that because I want to get the preorder for the next Too Close book up soon.

WIP Wednesday: New Omegas, Familiar Troublemakers, and More Lactin Brotherhood

I’ve been soooo productive so far. I’ve gotten planning in for a road trip (for characters not me) and I’ve gotten words on the page and I’m catching up on my to-do list.

So now it’s time to tell you about the words on page part of my success. I’ve made progress on a variety of projects from random stuff to the things I’m supposed to be working on, so I thought I’d share excerpts from the ones that got the most words so far.

My cute new couple for the next Dirty Daddies Pride Anthology coming out in June. These two are very new to BDSM and new to each other. But they’re open-minded and very curious. This is from the alpha/Dom’s POV. Yep this one is going to be omegaverse.

“You’re questioning whether this is a good idea too, right? It’s not just me?” I was really hoping it wasn’t just me since I was technically the Dom in our still slightly new relationship…and even in our slightly screwed up society, alphas weren’t supposed to be this unsure of things.

Collin snickered, nodding as he set his phone on his lap and leaned back in the passenger seat. “Oh yeah. That’s kind of why I haven’t been able to get out of the car.”

Well, at least I hadn’t been reading the signals wrong.

No name yet but they’re cute so far.

I’ve also gotten words in on the next Too Close book. This doesn’t have a name either but we know these cuties and they’re going on a road trip. No idea about the release dates yet but let me know if you have ideas for names in the Loving series. Those are getting hard.

“I’m not moving no matter what you think we’re doing.” Jeremy glared at the car, looking sexy and suspicious. “I’m also not tying anyone to the roof.”

He shouldn’t look so skeptical…I was smarter than he thought.

“I’ve done three dry runs in the past week. There’s room for all four of us and for the people in the backseat to have sex.” Planning for anything that might pop up on a road trip was important no matter what Bryan seemed to think. “I even have an emergency kit and a sex kit.”

Again…planning.

Jeremy just stared at me like he was expecting me to break first, but I was never the weak link.

“What’s in a sex kit?”

Maddox was the weak link.

I love these guys and I’m so excited to see what they get up to. It’s never what I think they’re going to do, so it’s going to be a surprise for all of us.

And for our last WIP excerpt, this wasn’t on my to-write list until a bit later this year, but the idea popped up when I was talking to a friend the other day, so I had to get started on it. This is going to be Dally’s book from the Lactin Brotherhood series that I got to write in last year.

“Baby. I want you to take a deep breath for me and let it out slowly. I’m slightly worried about your blood pressure and the only way I know how to fix that is with an orgasm, so we’re going to have to try something more conventional. This isn’t the place for that, unfortunately.”

Perfection.

Blinks and breathing and he was a less startling color.

“Does that work?” Giving his head a cute puppy shake, Harely let out another breath. “Never mind. I was…I don’t know what happened.”

“You were Dally-ed. It happens.” For some reason I was overwhelming. I didn’t agree with the assessment but there was enough scientific evidence to show it was a real thing that I could deny it completely.

Remember all these are work-in-progress excerpts so there have been no edits so far. Comment below with ideas or feel free to find me in the Facebook group if that’s easier for you. Okay, back to working on words and my to-do list.

I hope you have a very productive week too.

50K+ Longer, More Tickling, and a Trip to B&C Club – Pre-Order Hiding From Laughter Now

Some books are harder to describe in the blurb than others…especially when I’m not sure how to describe certain activities in the Amazon version of the blurb. (They’re a bit weird about stuff lol)

Hiding From Laughter is one of those books. (Picture a confused author shaking her head.)

Where to start?

Well, the extended version of Hiding From Laughter is now up on preorder and I’m very grateful for all the help you guys gave me when I asked for ideas about what else needed to go in the longer version of this book. I’ve added about 50k words to this new version.

For those of you who didn’t read the short version in the Naughty November anthology, it had a sub who wanted to explore being tickled until he lost control. His Dom also thought he was a little but they didn’t explore that in the book. The closest they came to that part was using diapers to help with the loss of control part.

Here are the highlights of things I think you might want to know:

-In the longer book we’re exploring Ashton’s little side.
-He’s a young, nonverbal little for the most part.
-We also have more tickling and wetting.
-There’s also a fun trip to the B&C club.
-They use the wet room (bathroom) at the club and there is a bit of a “marking” fantasy as Micha plays the alpha claiming his omega with mild watersports. (This is easily skipped over if you’re not curious.)
-We’ve got some fun cameos. (Keep reading to the bottom of this to see the cameos.)

You can see why some of this is hard to explain in the burb without Amazon shoving the book into erotica or worse.

It’s really a sweet romance with some spicy bits and lots of cute little time. But I think my favorite part of this book is how Micha and Ashton are already a couple but they’re still learning things about each other. (The spicy bits are fun too, though.)

There’s a really funny scene where they’re discussing what constitutes cheating and Micha realizes they have very different definitions even though they’d done limits list and talked about it before. (No cheating happens just a conversation.)

Watching them figure that out just made me laugh and Ashton’s not-so-subtle thinking that Micha is bananas (and probably needs to be fed) was a lot of fun to write. These two just make me smile and I love the way they explore all the new parts of their relationship.

Hiding From Laughter is now up on preorder here on my site and on Amazon and will go live on April 25th.

Check out the first chapter of Hiding From Laughter.

I’ve also got a fun short bonus chapter for this about the club visit. It’s from Conner’s point of view and just gives a peek at what he’s thinking. I don’t think there’s any spoilers in this bonus.

Hiding From Laughter (extended edition) by MA Innes - Early Access Pre-Order - Gay Romance Book Cover

I should’ve never crafted drunk.

Ashton knew being too honest when putting ideas into their jar of fantasies would come back to bite him at some point, and unfortunately he’s finally reached that point. So…now what? How is he supposed to explain his slightly curious fantasies when he isn’t sure where to start?

Maybe he just needs better ways to avoid the conversation completely?

Micha knows his not-so-subtle partner is hiding something…probably something ridiculous, knowing Ashton…but he’s got to decide how long he’s willing to let the insanity continue. Eventually, Ashton has to say what’s on his mind, right?

When crafting leads to nervous confessions and laughter, tickling won’t be the only thing that brings them closer together than ever before.

Author’s Note: This was originally in the Naughty November 2024 anthology under the Shaw side of things, but it’s been expanded and has been moved over to the MA Innes side. Ashton is curious about a lot of things, but Hiding From Laughter explores tickling that leads to a loss of bladder control and the little side he’s doing his best to ignore. Please see the author’s site for a longer content list.

Conner’s Question – Hiding From Laughter Bonus

One of my favorite new scenes in Hiding From Laughter is when Ashton is being very vague about the answers he filled out on the application to the Bound and Controlled club, so I decided to poke Conner and see what Ashton did.

Take a peek and I hope you have fun with Hiding From Laughter. It’s up on preorder now and will go live on Early Access on April 20th and on Amazon on the 25th.

Conner’s Question

Some people were definitely more interesting than others. “He described his type of submission as pain in the ass.”

Every answer in the application I’d been looking over got more and more ridiculous. As a brat myself, I definitely approved, but as the owner of a BDSM club it left me somewhat conflicted.
Ben barked out a laugh, looking up from the spreadsheet he’d been studying. “Sounds like someone you’re going to get along with.”

Honestly, yes.

“That’s what I thought too.” And I’d been having entirely too much fun looking over it…so much fun, I’d started to forget it was from a real person who wanted to come to the club.

Still grinning, Ben leaned back in his chair. “What did his partner write?”

“Caretaker Dom slash Daddy slash drama queen wrangler.” They were obviously a perfect match.

“So someone I might like. Got it.” Shaking his head, Ben took a moment before he realized I’d first interrupted him with an actual question. “What was your question? You asked me something. Sorry.”

To say he was distracted would’ve been an understatement, so I decided another type of distraction was in order. Carefully setting the tablet on the coffee table, I slowly got to my feet and as I started across the living room, I thanked every ancient god I could think of that I hadn’t changed out of my heels as soon as we’d gone upstairs.

Something about the mile-high heels with the innocent outfit just got him going.

“Do I need to send this back and ask more questions?” Because I wasn’t sure I’d gotten any useable answers to begin with. “They’re requesting to use the wet room first and that’s not usually where newbies start.”

The bathroom setup we had in one of the small scene rooms was amazing and right out of a fancy five-star hotel, but it wasn’t the place new members usually started. Hell, I was pretty sure I’d ended up using it more than anyone else at the club.

Ben smirked, giving me a shrug as I pushed his chair back from the desk and straddled his lap. “Newbies who want to join the club usually don’t give half-assed answers either, so I think we can safely say the brat doesn’t want to talk about it.”

Refusing to acknowledge that it probably sounded like me once upon a time, I rocked my erection against his and decided what should’ve come off when I got home were the panties under my skirt.
“Probably.” Someone was going to have to answer at least a few questions, though. “Thoughts?”

Had he actually answered my question?

I definitely couldn’t finish distracting him until he’d behaved.

Ben moaned, in desire and frustration because he knew talking came first and orgasms came second. “Sounds like the brat in question isn’t ready to talk about why he wants to use the wet room and probably that he doesn’t want to talk about being little yet. Otherwise he’d have mentioned that as his type of submission.”

Littles usually came in shy and panicked or chatty and silly…this one felt like the former.

“Why don’t…why don’t you look over their background check again and then…and then talk to them when they come for their first visit.” Ben moaned as I leaned in and started nibbling on his throat. “You’ll know…you’ll know what you feel at that point and you can touch base…touch base with the Dom.”

Chuckling, I nodded and pressed myself harder against him. “I’m not sure I’m going to get very good answers from the sub, but I have a feeling they’re going to be fun.”

Ben tried to laugh, but I licked his ear getting a strangled sound instead. “You…you have a radar for that. I hope…I hope I’m around to see it.”

“Naughty Dom. Are you saying you want to watch me fuck with the brat?” Making a tsking sound, I shook my head. “Naughty Dom.”

Luckily for me.

He barked out a laugh, smacking my ass through the peasant-style skirt I’d put on earlier. “Oh no. If anyone is naughty here, it’s you. Already making friends with a brat who’s got questionable behavior.”

Giggling, I nodded. “And I’m wondering if his Dom knows what he did.”

Ben groaned and tightened his hold on me as I ground our cocks together. “Probably not.”

That conversation was going to be fun as long as the Dom wasn’t a dick, but since I needed to know if he was a dick, it was going to be educational at the very least.

“But I’m sure my Dom knows everything I did.” And didn’t. Like the numbers in the spreadsheet he’d been going over. “So he knows when I have to be sorry and make it up to him.”

There was always something new and fun to be apologetic over, so I didn’t worry about being specific.

Ben didn’t seem to notice that part either, but that might’ve been because I was using my dick to get him off. “You…what…what were you thinking?”

Lots.

“The cleaners are gone. How about we go downstairs and I can show you what I’ve been practicing on the new pole.” I didn’t dance in cages any longer, but that didn’t mean I was out of practice. “I have something special to show my Master.”

His groan said he was going to love my apology…and fucking another one out of me when I was done too. “I’m supposed to be going over the numbers.”

But was he really going to do that?

“I’ve been practicing for you.” The pole wasn’t like the cage, but I was getting damned good at it. “Remember the class I’ve been going to?”

Oh, yes. Now he did.

“It’s a pole dancing class?” Ben’s hands tightened and his fingers dug into my ass. If I was lucky, I was going to have bruises tomorrow. “Let’s go see that apology, sexy.”

Yes.

Pole tonight…numbers tomorrow.

Best Master ever.

Bonus Content for The Handyman and The Drama Queen!

I love writing alternate POV chapters and bonus chapters for books and I’ve got a couple for The Handyman and The Drama Queen.

One is an epilogue to show you what happens after the end of the book.

The Handyman and The Drama Queen by Shaw Montgomery Bonus Content Promo Image

The other is an alternate point of view chapter. I rewrote the scene where Stone goes to the library from the librarian’s point of view. He’s fun and I loved getting a peek into what he was thinking.

I think we should poke at him a bit more to see what he needs in a partner or what else he’d like to make him even happier with his life.

If you’ve already read that chapter then comment below and let me know what you think he needs.

Oh, and if you have other ideas for bonus chapters let me know as well. I love seeing what you guys are curious about.

Have fun with the bonus chapter and epilogue. These are free to read on my Patreon, no sign ups required.

WIP Wednesday: Hiding From Laughter Expanded

Laughter…that’s really what I’ve been doing for the past week. But I’ve made amazing progress on Hiding From Laughter and I can happily announce that it is done. You can pre-order for early access right now, and it’ll be up on Amazon for PO soon.

It’s got some fun cameos and a fun bonus alternate POV short that’s going to be in the back of the book and here on the site (probably tomorrow?). Spoiler-ish possibly, but it’s from Conner’s POV, so I think you can tell that a club trip is in store for our cuties.

But I thought I’d share an unedited bit with you guys so you can get a better feel for Ashton’s and Micha’s personalities. This is from a discussion on what counts as cheating (There is NO cheating in the book. They’re just figuring out limits and I think the whole conversation is hilarious.).

Sometimes I wasn’t sure we were living on the same planet.

Was helpful the deciding factor in who could join a scene and who couldn’t?

What book had he gotten that logic from?

It was definitely some squirrely author’s definition to justify book shenanigans, but there was no way to understand it without seeing the original conversational context.

And how dirty the book had gotten.

“What were you picturing when we made that rule then? Or what are you picturing now?” Because it wasn’t what I’d been picturing.

I really needed to figure out which book it’d come from.

“Um…that’s a good question. How would I define that?” Leaning back in his seat, Ashton frowned thoughtfully like he was getting ready to explain a work problem that he couldn’t figure out. “Fucking someone. But that’s obvious. Um. Either of us. Still obvious. You definitely shouldn’t be giving anyone else a bottle. I mean. Fucking hell. That would just be. No. We’re not doing that.”

We were going to need a new limits list.

Maybe several.

These two have the best conversations.

And another couple with some interesting conversations are from the Patreon story, Watching Me. I was swamped with finishing Laughter (sorry to Lori for turning that in for edits late) but I’ve gotten a great starting on their next chapter and it should be up later this week. (Read chapter 1 of Watching Me for free here, no sign up required)

Now I’m at the point where I have to pick a new focus for what I’m going to have as my primary work-in-progress book. Our options: Aubrey/Lincoln, the next Loving book, the next Southern Charm book, the next dragon book, and whatever else I told Sage I was supposed to be writing for April. (Oh, I just remembered what that was. Oops. Okay, who’s going to ask me on Friday if I’ve started the novella?)

Off to make notes and hopefully have a lot more to share next week.
