Wondering If My Stories Were Unique Enough – A Flashback Post about “Curious Beginnings”

Curious Beginnings was my first step into the longer books that readers kept asking for. I think best when I move or eat, so I did a lot of planning for this book wandering around the neighborhood talking to myself. At first I was worried because I didn’t want it to feel too much like my first age play story, and I hadn’t come to understand how many ways there were to tell a story.

I’ve since come to realize how many interesting and wonderful people live in my head and are just waiting for their turn to get a book.

In Curious Beginnings, Mark has a physical condition that makes wearing protective undergarments a necessity, but he hates it and feels like they’re keeping him from having a full life. When Sebastian comes along and introduces him to the world of age play where diapers aren’t something to be afraid of, Mark finally learns what it’s like to share that side of himself with someone else.

It was so much fun getting to watch Mark finally seeing things in a new light, and exploring how Sebastian learns to love again after he was left a widower pulled at my heart.

Thank you to all the readers who gave me a push and made me see that the characters in my head deserved longer books and all the romance and love I could give them.

Leon, Trip, and Dakota (plus something secret) Coming Soon!

Picking one work-in-progress to tell you about isn’t reasonable because I’m working on several things and they’re all at different stages…so I’m going to tell you about a few of the stories.

Leon (Destin’s roommate from The Only Way to Dream) is getting his own book and his life has taken an interesting turn.

Destin is now living with his guys—and we’re just going to say that the new guy who moved into the dorms with him when Destin left was not the easiest to live with. So Leon is now living in the apartment building where Bryan and Maddox used to live. He’s got another new roommate, but this time one who’s sweet…and curiously private about this life. Of course, Leon isn’t built to be subtle or to mind his own business, so you’ll have to see what happens.

I’ve also started working on a second book in my alien world. This book is about Trip (Cameron’s best friend in My Cameron) and the alien he met in the grocery store. The unedited chapters will go up in my Facebook group and in my newsletter. After the story is done, it will get cleaned up and will go up on Amazon. If you’re curious about my tentacle aliens, check out My Cameron. Those books seem to end just a little steamy, but the couples are so cute.

Another thing I’ve got going on is the final edits for Dakota’s book. It will probably be out in a few weeks, so now is the time to start reading the omega books if you haven’t already. Dakota is a writer who gets very wrapped up in what he’s working on, and Tristan comes in and is the perfect “keeper” for the distracted writer. They’re cute together and have explosive role-playing sex scenes. We’re just going to say that Dakota has a great imagination.

Oh, and my last project is something super-secret that I need to wait a few more weeks before telling you all about. But what I can say is that it’s age play with a couple who’s been living together for about a year and it’s the Daddy who starts introducing age play into their relationship. I can’t wait to tell you more about this one, and really, all the books that are coming up.

More Side Characters Begging For Attention

Sometimes side characters just slip right by you while you’re reading or writing, completely unnoticed, and other times they won’t get out of your head. A few of my favorite reoccurring characters started out life as side characters I thought would just quietly pass through a chapter and would never be seen again, like Dr. Sheppard who eventually got his own book (Rethinking Fate).

Every series has different side characters that stand out to me as clearly needing their own books, but I thought I’d share a few of my current favorites…and probably give some hints about what I have in mind for them for the future. Just because teasing is fun.

In my sexy and fun omega series, Romance & Revolutions, there’s this cute little cop who popped up randomly in book two. He’s all wide eyes and embarrassed curiosity and he’s just screaming for a big sexy Dom to take care of him. Of course, the issue with that is going to be that my cute little cop is an alpha and he’s not supposed to want another alpha to dominate him.

His book should be fun because I’ve been talking about him with a friend of mine and we’re both pretty sure he’s a very closeted little who wants a Daddy. This fall is packed with books and ideas already, but I’m hoping to start working on his book around Thanksgiving. Check out the R&R series if you haven’t had a chance because there are a lot of fun side characters in there who need a story.

While my cute cop doesn’t even have a name yet, some characters change their names on me. Leon, who shows up as Destin’s roommate in The Only Way to Dream, started out life as Leo, but I mistyped his name so many times I decided he was trying to make a point and let him be Leon.

He comes across as a bit grumpy and terribly vanilla, but he’s got a few secrets hiding away and I can’t wait to show you his book. It just might be another age play story, and I’ve already got the first few chapters written. I’ll give you a peek at his love interest later this week once I’ve gotten a bit further in the book.

Writing Even When I Thought No One Would Read It – Flashback Post About “His Little Man”

His Little Man…When I wrote this, I was sure no one would ever read it.

There were so many ideas running around in my head when I first started to write that I knew I would never do just one kind of story. As I got more comfortable with writing, some of the ideas that kept pulling at me were considered more taboo, like age play.

The problem was, the only MM age play books and most of the MF age play books I’d read were nothing like what was in my head. There were no mainstream MM authors writing age play or any of the other types of books I wanted to write.

I finally just charged in and decided to write the story I wanted and said I would just see what happened. Tim and Cade were so much fun to write about. Tim is shy and working up his confidence to try diapers for the first time. When his neighbor, Cade, overhears his pep talk it completely changes the way the sexy man sees his reserved neighbor.

I was utterly shocked when anyone bought it and I was even more shocked when I started getting emails and messages from people who appreciated sweeter age play. Those first readers gave me the push to keep going and helped build my confidence, which was sorely lacking at that point after a tough divorce and several moves.

You guys gave me the push to keep going and to see that I could succeed in having a writing career because I knew that if even a handful of people could appreciate how sweet age play could be, more were out there.

If you haven’t read my first age play book, His Little Man, it’s a cute, short read…and if you were one of the first people who read it, I just want to say thank you. Your excitement kept me going.

Quiet Side Characters Who Turn Into Main Love Interests – Bradley Coming Soon!

If you’ve read many of my books, you’ve probably figured out that I like side characters. Sometimes they show up as main characters later in the current series and sometimes it takes me a while to figure out where they belong, but they’re so much fun to write about.

In the Romance & Revolutions series there are a few fun side characters that need a story. Simon is one of them. He was cagey at first and didn’t like sharing personal things about himself, but as I started writing Bradley’s book, he opened up.

So…what do we know about Simon?

From the short scenes where he’s shown up in so far in the Romance & Revolutions series, we know a few things about Simon:
-He loves driving his brother (Shane, who you meet in Tanner) absolutely nuts.
-He knows where the good porn is online.
-He seems to be vanilla.
-Nothing the guys do seems to shock him.

So that has to add up to an alpha who’s more than just meets the eye—because Austin should shock anyone who’s as boring as Simon appears to be.

But there are some things we don’t know yet:
-How does he know where the good porn is hidden?
-Why isn’t he shocked by the pool party?
-Is he single?
-Why isn’t he shocked by the group of submissive omegas?
-Does he really have a tattoo on his…?
-What’s his position on snarky omega subs that clearly need a spanking and some ground rules?

I can’t wait for you guys to get to know more about Simon. At first he’s really not sure how he feels about Bradley, but by the middle of the book, he starts to wonder if “asshole” can actually be a term of endearment. He’s the perfect match to Bradley in some unexpected ways and his reaction to their drunk scene in this book is hysterical (FYI they’ve gotten into some strong moonshine).

Just because an omega is grumpy and sarcastic doesn’t mean he wants to be single forever.

Why Sexy Men in Lace? Leashes and Lace Box Sets are HERE

Why sexy men in lace? Tumblr, of course.

I’ll admit to being so social media inept that I had to have a friend help me set up Tumblr, and since she helped me find some sweet, sexy men in lace, I will forever be grateful.

A lot of the inspiration for the Leashes & Lace series came from one guy who shared a lot of different styles of pictures and sides of himself. There were some sweet, some sexy, but there was always something beautiful about them. So the sweet side came out in subs like Wesley, and the sassy, confident sides came out in subs like Eli.

They’re all so unique and so much fun to write about that when I started to box up the series, I knew I wanted to add fun bonus material. The boxed sets of the Leashes & Lace books have a variety of bonus scenes that range from cute to off-the-charts hot.

Books 1-3 are in the first set and came out on Friday. Eli has a fun scene with some new characters that I’m pretty sure you guys are going to want to know more about and Wilder has a sweet surprise for Lane.

If you just want the bonus shorts on their own, The Models will be out on June 26th and is a compilation of just the bonus scenes. (Note: The bonus short is not on Kindle Unlimited)
