It took a bit longer than I planned to get a few things organized behind the scenes, but the audiobook for Too Close to Love is finally here.
I can’t wait to show you how sweet they sound together, and the timing has turned out to be pretty good because I’m working on the next book for those guys as we speak. The next book in the Loving series will be out sometime in September and it’s finally time for the sleepover as well as some other fun antics. Kevin just likes to stir the pot, as you already know.
Now we’re down to the practical bits.
-To get the audiobook, you’ll need to go to the book’s shop page and in the drop down menu under format, pick audiobook. Then go through the purchase as usual.
-Once you’ve bought the audiobook from my site, you’ll get another email from Bookfunnel to actually get the audio file.
–You’ll need to have an account with them (that’s free), but once you’ve got it set up, you can listen to the book through their app or you can go to their site and download the MP3 file.
-Remember to check your spam file to make sure the email doesn’t get sucked in there.
-Bookfunnel has great customer service, so once you have the email from them, if you run into a problem they can help you get it figured out.
I hope you enjoy having these guys on audiobook, and yes, I’m still trying to figure out paperbacks. I’ll let you know if I find a reasonable way to do that.
In the meantime, here’s a sample of the audiobook:
I love getting to explore my alien universe. Something about being able to write Doms that can read their partners so well and give them exactly what they want and need is almost as much fun to write as the tentacles.
Almost as much fun.
Nothing beats tentacles and lightning.
Their limbs and just the passionate way they explore BDSM and control give me so many ideas for what they could get up to in a relationship. But it wasn’t long after the first book came out that readers started commenting on what good Daddies they would be, and I couldn’t get that idea out of my head.
Yes, we definitely needed that in our fun alien world.
The shy, naughty waiter Nolan gave me the perfect opportunity to explore how one of our aliens would throw himself into the role of Daddy. It’s the ultimate caretaking style of domination. I don’t think there was ever any question about how much they would love it…but making sure there were some reasonable boundaries was always going to be the most interesting part.
I can’t wait for you to get to know Nolan more and to see why Reid is so standoffish about BDSM…oh, and Tentacle Daddy. Edward is so much fun. Lightning, tentacles, and a little…this one is so cute and I can’t wait to see what you think.
Check out the first chapter if you didn’t see that in the Facebook group or in the newsletter. You don’t have long to wait. Their Alien will go live on the 13th.
When I first started writing, I knew absolutely no one in the world of authors, much less where to find cover artists and editors and all the other wonderful people behind the scenes who help get books published.
Well, because of that, some of my original covers need to be updated a bit, and it’s time for Secrets in the Dark to get a makeover.
To celebrate the new cover by the wonderful Vicki Brostenianc, Secrets in the Dark ebook is going to be free from June 18th through the 22nd!
I love getting to write my aliens, but hearing them in audiobook is almost as much fun. Trip and Maverick are now out in audiobook, and I have to say that hearing Trip’s mother in the audiobook makes her even funnier. The sex scenes are steamy, but her mom-ness made me laugh.
Check out His Human in audiobook, and if you’ve already purchased the ebook, it’s been synced with Amazon already.
PS: I’ve also started writing book 3 in The New Neighbors Series! Just like with the first two, I’ve been writing a chapter at a time. You can read them as I go by signing up for my newsletter and gaining access to my Bonus Library, or joining my reader group.
When a friend recently pointed out that it had been two years since Dr. Sheppard’s book, Rethinking Fate, had come out I was shocked and actually went to look the date up online because I knew it hadn’t been that long.
Well, guess what?
I was wrong.
I still can’t believe it, though, and I refuse to do the math and think about how long it’s been since he first showed up in Secrets in the Dark. Time is moving by so fast, and it seems like just yesterday I started writing about him.
When Dr. S appeared in Secrets in the Dark, I thought it would be a one-time thing for him to show up, so I didn’t poke too hard at him when he gave me vague answers about his past and who he was. He kept trying to put everyone else first, and to begin with, I let him.
But he just kept popping up.
He’d show up here and there when I looked around and realized that my characters needed someone to talk to and to confide in. They can go to him about anything and nothing surprises him. I love having that kind of friend for the rest of my character to lean on, and I think part of what makes him so strong is his Daddy and how comfortable he is with his little side.
If you haven’t read about my sweet doctor and his Daddy, check out their story in Rethinking Fate.
Cutie the Cop is finally here…Austin’s nickname for him of course.
I love getting to write characters who are just a little unique. Sometimes it’s the way they see the world and other times it’s something about who they are that’s just a bit special, but they’re some of my favorite types of characters to write.
Gideon is special in a lot of ways. He’s a cop that’s sweeter than most and he’s a physically small alpha…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. But he keeps everything else hidden away, especially his longing to submit.
Bashful (MA Innes) is the start of a spinoff series that is a kinkier side to the Romance & Revolutions series (Shaw Montgomery). It’s a slow burn romance with lots of age play age play and BDSM, and the rest of the series will have everything from puppy play to naughty twins. So keep an eye out for more in the Love and Secrets series.
