Wade Is Ready For Romance Again – Coming October 23rd

When I first started writing my omega series, the first character to speak to me (the prequel) was Wade—but he was always focused on everyone else, not himself. Throughout the rest of the series, he stayed that way. He pushed to make everyone happier and loved to see them excited, but he never expected that same happiness for himself.

In his mind, he’d already had his happiness and that was that.

For those of you who haven’t read the Romance & Revolutions series yet, Wade is a widower and loved his alpha more than anything. When Matthew passed, it was like Wade’s world ended. But everything changed as the guys began planning the club and as they started falling in love.

Over the books, he started coming out of his shell. If you haven’t read Dakota’s book yet I won’t spoil it, but you really see how Wade starts to heal and show that he’s ready for a relationship. Well, next month when his book comes out, you’re going to meet the sexy firefighter from his past that comes back into his life again at the club’s opening.

I can’t wait to show you how Wade has started to heal and how sweet they are together…both dancing around their attraction and learning how to move forward together.

Wade’s book will be out on October 23rd and is available for preorder now. If you haven’t read the series yet, this is the best time to start because Wade’s book will be the last in the main series, although there will be some spinoff stories that take place at the club. There are just too many cute characters—like the sweet cop—who still need their stories for me to leave them completely.

How does an omega know when it’s time to live again?

Pulling away from all the reminders of his husband was the only way Wade survived his alpha’s passing, but time and the love of his friends helped heal the once immeasurable wounds. However, coming out of his grief has left him new pains. Left with an empty house and an ache to submit, Wade can’t help wanting to belong to someone completely again. But is he ready to move on?

How does an alpha know when it’s time to reach for the love he’s always wanted?

After the death of his friend, Griffin stepped away from the only man he’d ever loved—the only one he could never have. Time apart from the sweet omega who’d always made him smile hasn’t dimmed his feelings, but it isn’t until he sees the beautiful man submitting to another that he realizes, once again, he might have missed his chance at love.

When the pull to submit meets the push to dominate, sparks fly, but it’s love and tenderness that will finally give them the confidence to move forward together.

A Take Charge Daddy and a Free-Spirited Boy – Dirty Daddies 2020 Anthology

We all want to belong. Sometimes it’s little things that make us feel like we’re part of the club. In writing, one of the things that really made me feel like I belong was getting asked to do the Dirty Daddies anthology for this year. It probably sounds silly, but it’s basically other authors looking at you and saying that they like your work and they trust you to do the best you can when you participate.

But, man, writing shorter stories is soooo hard.

Like insanely frustrating.

Like it takes three times as long as it should to write because everyone in my head is long-winded.

Like they want to tell you what they bought at the grocery store kind of long-winded just because they want to chat.

So wrangling Loren and Gordon into a complete but not two-hundred-page story wasn’t easy, but the three of us managed it. Mostly Gordon, honestly. He’s the take-charge Daddy type who likes watching over Loren.

Loren is the smart, free-spirited type who doesn’t really want to grow up and Gordon loves that about him. Gordon just doesn’t understand what that might mean until a friend at work (someone by the name of Sawyer) starts talking to him about types of submission he’s never thought much about.

Something about Loren has sweet age play, a bit of BDSM, and some fun cameos. The anthology will go live on September 29th and is now on preorder at Amazon, Apple, and Barnes & Noble. The anthology is a mix of MF and MM stories and is available for $0.99, so it’s a fabulous deal.

Jeremy and Kevin Are Back! Too Close to Doubt – Out September 20th

Having characters in your head is almost like having friends that come into your life. Sometimes they’re in and out, and sometimes they stick around for a while. Kevin and Jeremy, whose first book was Too Close to Love, have been characters that settled in for the long haul and made it clear they weren’t going to budge.

One book…two books…I kept thinking that eventually they’d stop talking or that readers would get tired of hearing about them, but that hasn’t been the case yet. They are still as chatty as ever, and they’re some of the characters I get asked about the most.

Recently I sat down and started poking at them and figuring out what they’d been up to. Kevin happily rambled on about their new house and school and what everyone has been doing and had a ton to tell you guys about, including some sexy fun and what their father has been up to. Their new story, Too Close to Doubt, is out now on my site and on Smashwords.

If you haven’t read the series yet and you’re curious, the first book in the series, Too Close to Love, is free on my site, or you can grab it on Smashwords.

Jeremy and Kevin’s house is almost perfect. Along with more room to spread out, it comes with new ways to drive Bryan crazy and playrooms for a little and a middle. But change also comes with new trials for in the brothers.

As Kevin sees their world evolving, he loves knowing that they’ve taken their first steps toward a true grown-up future together, but that brings up more questions. Will it change their relationship? What will the future look like? When everyone around him has found their passion in life and is sprinting full-steam ahead toward their goals, will he ever figure out what he’s supposed to be doing?

My Most Taboo Yet? – Flashback Post About “Too Close to Love”

This book came from multiple different angles for me. I never set out to write incest, even though the topic always pulled at my brain. But one day, I was listening to a song (lol “Hallelujah” by Pentatonix of all things) and something about one of the voices hit me. I was curious about why he sounded so sad…and my imagination took off. I can even picture where I was sitting when I was listening to the song. It’s still super clear to me.

As I started to think about the characters and story ideas, I realized he wanted something he thought he couldn’t have. The more I thought about it, the more I realized he was in love with his brother. It was then that I started thinking about someone I knew who had been in a relationship like that at one point.

Their life didn’t turn out to be anything like what they’d wanted, so I knew I was going to use my book to give them the happily ever after that they didn’t get. Incest brings to mind all kinds of different things for people, but Too Close to Love is a sweet, slow-burn romance where you see how their love grows.

The first book just about wrote itself; the characters and story were just that clear. If you’ve never tried reading incest, Too Close to Love is a great place to start!

(Ps: Keep an eye out for the sixth book in this series. It will be out soon.)

Some events just change how you look at a person. One thing can make them go from someone who’s just always there to someone who matters…More than they should.

Kevin knows that no one would understand what he feels for Jeremy. Even Jeremy would be shocked if he found out. But what do you do when you fall in love with the one person you were never supposed to need?

A Keeper for Dakota – Coming in September!

My omegas are back. This time it’s Dakota in the spotlight. He’s funny and definitely not your typical vision of what an omega should be. Jonah mentioned several times that he thought my distractible writer Dakota needed a keeper…well, his keeper has arrived.

Tristan comes from a family of scatterbrained authors, and he’s always seen himself as the glue that keeps things together. While some people might have resented the role, he takes pride in looking after the people who create wonderful stories…and considering how long he’s had a bit of a crush on Dakota, this is one Dom who’s not going to drag his feet letting the sexy writer know exactly how he feels.

Of course this has a hysterical drunk scene along with some naughty fantasy role-playing I can’t wait to show you. Dakota is up on pre-order now and will be out in September.

The freebie Warren is a great way to try out the series if you haven’t had a chance so far, and if you’re ready for Dakota, check out the first chapter where he meets Tristan for the first time.

Just because he’s scatterbrained and distracted doesn’t mean he needs a keeper…right?

Dakota is creative, passionate, and just a little too focused on his work. It’s helped him grow a single book into an impressive series and career, but it’s not helping his personal life. At this point, he barely has a personal life and even his friends are starting to get concerned.

Tristan’s had a thing for Dakota before he ever met the sexy, somewhat reclusive writer, and it only takes one chance meeting to feel the connection between them. That’s also all it takes to see that Dakota doesn’t just need an assistant, he needs a keeper. Luckily, that’s a role Tristan was born to play.

When a distracted, artistic sub meets a Dom with a thing for organization and role-playing, a beautiful masterpiece of a relationship can’t be far behind.

I’m a Pantser, Or How My Characters Tell Me What To Do (Learning to Trust Out Now!)

No, it’s not a football match with oddly named teams…it’s the battle going on between authors. Some of you have probably seen comments or teasing complaints from authors about what they’ve outlined for their WIP (work in progress) and what the characters actually did in the book. Those confident creatures who think they can command a world are planners. They outline and organize and then sit down to write.

Me…I’m nowhere near that logical or organized. I fall into the wonderful group called pantsers. We fly by the seat of our pants with minimal planning and just see where the story takes us. It’s a different kind of confidence, like when you head out for a vacation but have no idea where you might end up. It’s more about the character and the journey and less about how you get there.

But in the pantsing world, we sometimes run into interesting problems, like when your character decides one book won’t be enough and he forces you to reshuffle an entire series. Leon’s very opinionated, if you hadn’t already guessed from seeing him in Destin’s story.

In writing him and figuring out who he is and how he loves, he decided he needed more than one book. So instead of his being the first in a new series where each book is about a different couple, he’s going to get at least two and will be either a duet or trilogy depending on how the second one goes. I’m not holding my breath on him being happy with two, so we’ll see how things go.

Even though it’s not going how I expected, the book came together quickly and they just feel right together. I can’t wait to show you what’s going to happen with my stubborn Leon (who Morgan calls his ostrich Daddy because while Leon behaves like a Daddy, he doesn’t seem to see himself the same way everyone else does) and Morgan, who is a bit shy at first but quickly warms to Leon as he sees how safe and confident Leon makes him feel.

Learning to Love is the first book for Leon and Morgan and is now live. Check out the first chapter if you’re curious.

Learning to Trust- Education of the Heart Series book 1 by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book Cover

Leon’s always been on the outside looking in, and most of the time, he prefers it that way.

Leon’s never seen romance and attraction the same way everyone else has, and he doesn’t really mind that. When life is filled with everything from college classes to a best friend who’s a trouble magnet, who has time for romance anyway? At least that’s what he thinks until he meets his new roommate.

Morgan’s always been on the outside looking in, and college hasn’t helped the situation any.

When a difficult roommate situation goes from bad to worse, Morgan is happy to move into the privacy of an apartment. But when his toy-filled peace is interrupted by the stern but well-meaning Leon, he isn’t sure what to think. Just because Leon is sweet, take charge, and a has a thing for healthy eating doesn’t mean he’s a Daddy, does it?
