Dating is Difficult – Pre-Order My Bigfoot Daddy Short Now!

One of the things I’ve always wanted to write about is Bigfoot. In any way. I love monsters and creatures and aliens and everything in between.

Bigfoot has just always been at the top of my “random things I want to write about” list. (A real list I made when I first started writing.)

So when the Dirty Daddies crowd started talking about doing a monster anthology I jumped at the chance so fast they all laughed.

I knew I was going to do Bigfoot, but I just had to figure out what he was up to…and what his name was going to be…and what kind of job he had…and if he was the Daddy or the little…and sooo many other details.

But eventually it all came together and I got to know Alton and Malik.

Here’s the blurb for their story… The Professor and his Little Roo (M.A. Innes)

I really should’ve clarified what the matchmaker had meant when she’d asked if I liked bears.

Alton

Dating is difficult…especially when he doesn’t know what he’s looking for and he ends up putting his fate in the hands of a magical matchmaker with a bit of a reputation. But when she sets a Daddy with a captivatingly beautiful aura right in his path, he starts to think maybe he shouldn’t have been questioning her methods or her magic.

Malik

Dating is difficult…especially when he lives in a small town and is usually considered a mythical creature. Being a Bigfoot and a Daddy hasn’t helped expand his dating pool either, but he’s really starting to wonder if a matchmaker was the best decision he could’ve made or absolutely insane.

When a cutie with a serious case of wanderlust meets an introverted Daddy with a cabin in the woods, it’s going to take toys, playgrounds, and a bit of magic to bring them together.

——-

Now The Professor and his Little Roo is technically part of my Myths, Legends, and Southern Charm world (Shaw) but you don’t need to have read the first book in that series to enjoy this one. It’s a true standalone, but it’ll give you a peek into the type of fun that’s in that series.

Monster Daddies is on preorder now and will go live on October 24th. It will be in KU when it goes live but it’s a great price right now for the number of stories in the book.

Monster Daddies - Dirty Daddy Authors Book Cover

One, two, Daddy’s coming for you…

You’ve met Daddies living on sprawling ranches out west. Mafia Daddies in huge, sparkling mansions.

Now, meet the Daddies living underneath your bed. While these Daddies might look monstrous to some, they have one common goal: Find and claim their little ones, by whatever means necessary.

And they do mean by any means necessary…

Secrets in the Dark by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book Cover

Secrets in the Dark

I can picture exactly where I was when I started figuring out this book. I was listening to music on headphones (on Pandora, I think lol) and a song came on that had a line about secrets in the dark.

I remember wondering what kind of secrets needed darkness and then that led my squirrel brain to remember an article I read about a couple of restaurants around the world where people were eating in complete darkness.

Then the whole thing started taking shape.

It probably took thirty seconds from the song to the restaurant to the start of the book. Then Mason and Edward just took shape from there.

This was the start of me writing longer stories and figuring out what kind of Daddy books I wanted to write. So thank you to all the readers who took a chance on this when it first came out.

Nick and Kyle - Beautiful Shame 1 by Ma Innes - Gay Romance Book Cover

Nick and Kyle

At one point there was a post in a Facebook book rec group where the topic was about humiliation play in books.

The general consensus was that for most people it wasn’t sexy and was just mean. I could understand that, but my brain jumped in and wanted to know if it had to be mean and if there was a way to make it sweeter for lack of a better word.

So I jumped to the most confused people I know. College guys.

I love their logic and the ridiculous decisions they make and I knew if any two people were messing around with humiliation without realizing what they were doing or why they were doing it then it would be young guys.

This turned out a lot cuter than I expected but when it came out lol I spent soooo much time explaining that it wasn’t mean.

I said that over and over and readers were like “well…okay but…”

But.

Over and over.

Have you read this one? Were you one of the first readers to try this when it first came out?

Eventually people took a chance and I’m soooo grateful for that. You guys have let me explore so many different kinks and I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with the different things that people are curious about.

Our Love: The Story - Our Love Series complete set by MA Innes- Gay Romance Book Cover

Our Love: The Story

When Bishop first popped up, he seemed to know anyone and everyone but himself. He could tease and tell stories about all his friends but he didn’t seem to know much about himself.
I’d poke…he’d shrug.

I’d ask a question and he’d shrug.

He knew he was a pup but that was about all he knew.

His dates had gone wrong and his relationships had gone worse.

So he knew something was missing and I knew something was missing but I couldn’t decide where to start his book.

The book you guys kept asking for over and over…and I hated not knowing what he was doing.

It wasn’t until a couple of you mentioned that he might need two partners that things started coming together. But that brought in different questions, like how was I going to tell his story.

I did something different with this book, releasing the boxed set first and then the individual books after. It was different and I’d love to hear what you guys thought about that.

But I loved having the time to really explore what their relationships looked like and for Ian and Cohen to be able to share what they needed.

And I really love this cover lol.

Bishop showed up in the Leashes and Lace world as a friend of one of the characters and in one of the Beautiful Shame books. Like I said, he knows everyone.

Answer in the comments: So what did you think about having the boxed set come out first? Do you have any questions for me about Our Love?

Tanner - Romance and Revolutions Series book 1 by Shaw Montgomery- Gay Romance Book Cover

Tanner

My omegas! I love how adorably badass these guys are. They figured out what they wanted and charged right into get it.

Okay, well, it took some bad dates and a lot of alcohol first, but they got there.

I love how these guys are all a bit different. Tanner rich and a CEO and has a lot on his shoulders but he’s looking for a Dom and he’s head over heels for his admin.

Those two are so cute.

And then there are the drunk scenes lol those make me laugh every time they happen in the series.

I remember starting to figure out this series after thinking that most of the omegaverse books I read (which I love…don’t get me wrong) weren’t realistic. Well, as realistic as this genre can be lol.

I wanted to see what I thought an omegaverse world would look like and I wanted to see how happy and kinky my cuties could be.

I love writing in this universe.

Answer in the comments: What do you guys think about Tanner? Are you team dark omegaverse or team happy drunk cuties? Do you have any questions for me about Tanner?

Past Pages - Shaw Montgomery MA Innes Books Published in August from 2016-2024

Somehow I missed posting this in August. Oops.

August- 13 total books have been published in August since 2016! Below is the full list by year, click on each title to check out it’s full blurb, keywords, tags, preview the first chapter, and links to purchase. In 2024, I added 3 books to this list!

Our Perfect Puzzle (2017) | Grant (2017) | Master By Fate (2018) | Master (2018) | Yearning For Love Box Set (2019) | The Revolution (2019) | Learning To Trust (2020) | Their Alien (2021) | Bedingungslose Liebe – Unberührt (2023) |Learning To Walk (2023) | Learning To Change (2024) | Manchmal Braucht Es Einen Milchshake-Morgen (2024) | Learning To Grow (2024)

Let’s take a closer look at 3 of the titles released in the past.

The Revolution by Shaw Montgomery- Gay Romance Book Cover

The Revolution

I totally screwed myself with this one lol.

When I started writing the prequel to the Romance and Revolutions series, I heard all of the guys talking so I wrote that down.

Just the talking lol.

It was pages of their conversation but no names or descriptions.

Once I realized what I’d done, I went to my editor at the time and begged for help. She talked me through how to figure out who was talking and how to separate the conversation so it all made sense.

I had to print out the whole conversation and highlight the different speakers and then she made me pick out all the pictures for them. It was soooo hard and I told myself I would NEVER do that again.

Now I just write the first page of random conversations and stop before it gets out of hand. But that also means I have dozens of book starts where I have half a page written. At some point, I need to sort those out but that’s a project for another time.

Answer in the comments: Have you read the prequel to the omegaverse? What else do you want to see in that universe? Do you have a favorite character in that world? Do you have any questions for me about The Revolution or my omegas?

Learning to Walk - Education of the Heart Series book 3 by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book Cover

Learning to Walk

This was hard because I knew random little things about Gareth and Cashel but I didn’t know enough practical things about them. We were definitely in a weird place author/character wise.

As I started writing Learning to Walk, I had to keep stopping to figure out what they were thinking and what they would do…and that drove me insane lol.

It might sound confusing but for me it’s soooo much easier to start from a blank slate and just see what happens and how they turn out. I think that might be why a lot of the side characters you guys want to see books for have so few details. It’s easier for them to come to life for me later.

But once I figured out what was going on and why they had questions and slightly weird responses, it was fun to dive into their life.

And I just love how Bates soaked up all the crazy.

Have you read Learning to Walk? These are the roommates from Save Me Santa (the Christmas book with the spider lol) and it was fun to see those guys again too. (And I’ve had so much fun with the new books in this series discovering how Joe and his partners see these guys lol).

Answer in the comments: Have you had fun exploring my kinky apartment complex? Do you have any questions for me about Learning to Walk?

Their Alien- New Neighbors Series Book 3 by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book Cover

Their Alien

My aliens!

I love all these guys and just this universe in general but this book came about because a lot of you were asking how well they shared and what a poly relationship would look like with them.

That was a very good question but the first thing that came to mind was that their partner’s happiness would be their primary focus. So it seemed like we just needed to have a reason that their cute human’s happiness needed someone else too.

I think the fact that Reid (the 2nd human in this one) wasn’t the type of guy who made our newest alien’s more primitive instincts come out made it easier for him to accept. I also think the way he had to lead Reid into accepting his Dom side made it easier. It’s hard to be jealous when you’re the teacher and you have so much responsibility.

Just thinking about how they figured everything out in this one and how the sharing works makes me think about what a relationship would be like if one of our aliens really likes being watched with his submissive human.

And I think we need to see a book where we’ve got two tentacled Doms wanting to share the same human.

What do you think?

Answer in the comments: If you’ve read these books, what kind of stories do you think we need to see next? Do you have any questions for me about Their Alien?

Exploring Some Alien Dragons – Read Culture and Curiosities Today with Early Access!

Early Access is Live!

If you’re ready to dive head first into dragon shenanigans then your wait is over.

If you’re ready to hear a bit more about what’s happening in my Blue Ridge world then I’ve got you covered too.

If you’re going to read this in KU or grab it off Amazon then you’ve got a few more days to wait, sorry.

So…my magical troublemakers…

Spoilers ahead…

Yep…even though you just rolled your eyes I’m still going to warn you.

At the end of Myths and Shifts we saw them going through the portal and after much drama and complaining and characters chattering about mostly unhelpful things, I decided that it would be the right place to do a spin-off series.

I have no intention of leaving these guys anytime soon but we’ve got to keep the books in manageable chunks. So the first six books (and bonusy stuff and the prequel) will all be under Blue Ridge Magic, but their portal and alien adventures will be in Blue Ridge Charm.

Because as crazy as they are…Southerners have a charm all their own…especially when it can be magically influenced. (Mental detour through memories I probably shouldn’t share lol but now I’m back…oh those southern accents…)

Where were we?

Dragons and aliens.

Yes.

We’re heading through the portal…we’ve got aliens figuring stuff out…the diner men are still wonderfully nosy…we’ve got naughty mochi and an offended little baker…and then we’ve got some portal magic.

I have to admit it takes us a while to get there but I had to show you this and that and then Kenzie said “oh, me too” and it just kept going.

They’re all wonderful attention-whores and I can’t wait to show you what these guys have been up to. Have fun with my cuties.

Culture and Curiosities by MA Innes - Book Cover Gay Romance

Wren
Mates. Wren knows they just pop up when it’s completely unexpected, like at a party with clowns, crazy townspeople, and the cutest alien he’s ever met. Alien dragon? Mage? His mate is clearly not a local but that’s just going to make the adventure of a lifetime even more interesting. Besides, the only thing that matters is he’s a Daddy…right?

Toman
Mates. Toman knows mates are granted by the fates, but the last place he expected to find his was on another world where nothing quite makes sense. Team Binkie? Team Pony? His goals were planned out, but everything changes when his adorably confusing mate bounces into his life. Now he’s got a new list of things to learn, like what makes a Daddy and how do Earthlings fall in love.

When the mate bond strikes, two men must learn how to build a love that crosses cultures and bridges the stars.

Author’s Note: This is the first book in a new spinoff series. This takes place after the events in Blue Ridge Magic and is best read after the original series. You’re not going to understand why the old men are so funny if you don’t see the original chaos and you have to meet Deputy Talon the way he was meant to be seen, cussing about f-ing aliens and wondering what kind of crazy job he signed up for.

Get To Know Toman – Pre-Order Culture and Curiosities Now!

Ready to meet Toman?

Another reminder that this is going to have spoilers for the Blue Ridge Magic Series…I know…I probably don’t have to point that out but I want to make it clear.

Still here?

Ready?

I love aliens.

I love how they see the world they’re exploring.

I love how they marvel at some of the changes and are surprised by others.

I love how they learn languages and cultures.

I really love it when they fall in love.

And Toman is a great combination of all of the things that I love because even when he’s confused he’s sweet and he’s doing his best to just be polite about all the insanity around him. Including with the co-worker he’s brought along on their adventure to another world.

There were a few things that surprised me, but I’ve had so much fun getting to know him and figuring out what he wants in his mate and how he sees his role as Wren’s Daddy.

That was fun.

Here’s a peek at how he sees his adorable mate…

More moans indicated approval and I could feel what I thought was his submission mixed with his desire. It was stronger than anything I’d ever felt and I couldn’t imagine anyone formidable enough to be both predator and prey.

My mate was incredible.

And very needy.

If you’re ready for more Toman and all our adorable dragons and grumpy mages, Click here to read the first full chapter. It’s on preorder on Amazon and here for Early Access.

Are you ready to meet Wren?

So…again…a warning about spoilers for Myths and Shifts and possibly other books in the original series.

Last chance to change your mind…

There will be spoilers for the original series…

Ready?

What do we know about Wren at the end of the last book?

-He thoroughly enjoys driving his cousin Pierce crazy.

-He’s wonderfully nosy.

-He’s a wilderness expert and that seems to have happened in an attempt to avoid his mother. (Helicopter would be an understatement.)

-He’s met someone interesting that turns out to be his mate.

-He loves the shenanigans in town and all the ridiculous chaos.

I have to say that my favorite scene where Wren shows up in Myths and Shifts was his squirrel scene. He’s an adorable squirrel and he’s not afraid to make sure everyone knows it. He’s also not afraid of shopping ‘til he drops and I can’t wait to show you how he got the costume.

The first chapter of this came from a silly post that showed up in my Facebook group, so if you’re curious about what the characters are looking at head over to the Facebook group and search “mochi” in my group.

Yes, I am grinning as I write this and I’ll do another post after the release to show anyone who isn’t on Facebook what the original post looked like.

It was just another bit of crazy that Wren loved and gave him the push to start chattering and telling me what he was up to.

Are you ready to hang out with Wren?

We’re getting closer and closer to the 26th but stay tuned for Toman’s introduction.

Click here to read the first full chapter if you’re too curious to resist.
