Happy Doms are The Best Ones – Learning to Walk Now Available!

I’m so excited for you to finally get to know Gareth and Cashel (the roommates from Save Me Santa). They’re so funny and I’ve had so much fun seeing life from Gareth’s point of view. It’s easier now to see why he’s driving Jude batty, but I can also see why Cashel and Bates are head over heels for the confused cutie.

Learning to Walk is the first book in the duet for Gareth, Cashel, and Bates (the fun downstairs neighbor). Learning to Run will be the second book for them. It will go live on September 15th but Walk ends on a happy for now ending with no cliffhanger.

Learning to Walk starts with you getting a look at how Bates sees the curious roommates and you get to see how much he loves their apartment building. He’s wonderfully and unapologetically nosy, and Gareth loves how happy he is.

Gareth thinks happy Doms are the best ones and he’s not afraid to say it.

Of course, Cashel thinks they’re both insane, but he’s going along for the ride because he likes happy Doms too…and he’s very interested in why the happy Dom thinks all three men should explore dating and domination together.

These three are adorable and I can’t wait for you to get a peek at Gareth’s wonderful logic. There are good reasons why he and Brady get along so well, but Gareth still finds Brady to be very confusing sometimes.

But don’t worry…Bates likes being helpful.

Have fun with Learning to Walk (and I’ll give you a little tease about Learning to Run…Brady’s mom makes an appearance so you won’t want to miss it).

Learning to Walk by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book CoverBlurb:

Eavesdropping is only bad if I’m not being helpful with the information I’ve acquired.

Bates loves being helpful, and since being nosy makes it easier to be helpful, well, no one can complain about that logic. Especially not the cuties upstairs who have the most interesting family and the most wonderful questions.

It’s not eavesdropping if we’re too loud, right?

Gareth isn’t concerned about how much his handsome neighbor has overheard about their life. He’s more focused on getting his questions answered and about the way the fascinating guy from downstairs thinks he should be dating his best friend Cash…and the guy from downstairs.

Maybe eavesdropping wasn’t so bad?

Cashel isn’t sure what’s happening when the tornado of a neighbor bursts into their life, but he knows nothing will ever be the same. Especially not when it ends up with him on a date with Gareth and Bates. He doesn’t do that…any of it…but it sounds like maybe the neighbor knows him better than he knows himself.

When a nosy neighbor decides to help two curious men, questions finally get answers and nothing will ever be the same.

Author’s Note: This is an MMM romance with a Dom, a surprised switch, and a very curious sub, and while they have a lot of fun in this book, some fun (like homeruns and wagging tails) will have to wait until book two (if you get my drift).
While this duet is part of the Education of the Heart series, these are the roommates from Save Me Santa. It’s not technically necessary to have read the other books, however, I think Learning to Walk and Learning to Run will be more enjoyable if you’ve already read Brady’s story, Save Me Santa.

My Nosiest Character Yet! – Pre-Order Learning to Walk and Learning to Run Now!

Do you remember Brady’s roommates from Save Me Santa? Gareth and Cashel who were a bit confused about everything? Yep, they’re back and getting their own book. Learning to Walk goes live on August 25th and is now on preorder.

I had so many fun questions about these guys, but when I started writing the book, I could answer about five percent of them. I had no idea if they’d been together before or what they were looking for or what was going on in general. Basically, all I knew was that Gareth was really confused about spankings and what Brady saw in Jude, and Cashel wasn’t sure what was going on.

That’s when Bates stepped in.

He’s really curious and jumps right in to offer to help them figure things out. He absolutely loves all the crazy people living in the building and he’s the nosiest character I’ve ever written. He’d probably drive everyone crazy if he weren’t so cute and so well-meaning.

After he overhears Brady talking about the roommates and their questions, Bates decided the only neighborly thing to do is to go up and offer his conversational skills and his knowledge about spanking. Everyone needs such a helpful neighbor.

I can’t wait to show you how funny they all are in such different ways and for you to see their chemistry. It’s not technically slow burn (depending on how you define that) but their story is going to be spread out over two books, so don’t expect every first to happen in book one. They’re doing things at their own pace and I’m just following along and telling you about their adventure.

They’re at a good place at the end of book one, but Gareth still has some questions to work out and Cashel has some fantasies to confess, so they definitely needed a second book. But I’m not going to leave you waiting for book two. Learning to Run comes out on September 15th and is also on preorder now.

I can’t wait to show you how funny they all are as Bates helps answer all their questions and gives them a push in the romantic direction.

Learning to Walk by MA Innes - Gay Romance Book CoverBlurb:

Gareth: Weirdest neighbor ever…but he has an addicting smile and he was helpful in explaining Brady’s…well, Brady’s love of interesting things.

Cashel: Craziest way to ever be asked out on a date…but Gareth is happy and the nosy neighbor is nice…and a good kisser.

Bates: Best first date ever…and the best apartment building ever.

Everyone sees meeting a potential date for the first time a little differently.

Someone might walk away from a first meeting confused about names and wondering how they ended up with a date.

Someone else might walk away appreciating an offer for a bit of naughty help.

Another might end up loving life and hoping that the two cuties upstairs are just as adorable on a date as they are when he’s eavesdropping.

However, there are a few things everyone can agree on…their neighbors are fascinating, Gareth has questions, and Cashel has no idea what’s going to happen with the wickedly helpful neighbor.

Author’s Note: While this duet is part of the Education of the Heart series, these are the roommates from Save Me Santa. While it’s not technically necessary, I think Learning to Walk and Learning to Run will be more enjoyable if you’ve already read Brady’s story, Save Me Santa.

Unberührt by MA Innes

Breaking Routines – Where Do I Usually Read and Write?

One of the things I usually post when I do takeovers on Facebook (online events in groups to talk about specific things like a new release) is an ask me anything post.

Sometimes the questions there are silly and sometimes they’re fascinating, but in a takeover I did the other day, one popped out at me and made me think. So I thought I’d share a bit more of a rambling answer than the one I gave on Facebook.

What’s your favorite environment to read or write books in?

My first response to this was that I’m a creature of habit. Sometimes that’s good and sometimes it’s terrible but I usually find something that my brain likes and keep doing it over and over.

Answering this from a writing perspective, for the last couple of years I’ve hidden away in my office to do most of my writing because my kids were home a lot. It was my quiet space to hide in, and while it currently is in desperate need of a cleaning, it’s one of my favorite spots in my house.

But…but the kids are both going to be in college in just a few weeks.

That’s still really weird to think about, but I know that’s going to change my process in some way or another. Back a thousand years ago when they were in school most of the day and I had quite a bit of “me” time, I would drop them off at school and then go write at a coffee shop or have breakfast somewhere fun and work on planning out a new idea or just my to-do list.

Just thinking about how long it’s been since I’ve done that is frustrating, so I want that to be one of the things I start doing again when they’re at college (university to you UK friends lol). So one of my first goals is going to be to figure out a new schedule where I’m going out a few days a week to write and plan in different places.

Being stuck at home all day by myself would not be a positive thing for my mental health in the long run, so I’m going to find good people-watching places, and hopefully, some more local friends to make plans with.

Who’s going to take one for the team and have lunch with an author with too much time on her hands?

Upcoming Pre-Orders Summer 2023

It feels like I’ve spent the last two weeks running in circles, but I’m slowly getting back on track. Part of that has included lots and lots of words and an even bigger part as been getting some new preorders up and ready to go. Planning seems to take more brain power than writing most of the time, but it’s worth it, and I’m glad I can finally share what’s going to be coming up.

To start with, Learning to Walk and Learning to Run are currently up on preorder. I’ll be telling you a LOT more about those cuties, but it’s an MMM duet with the two roommates from Save Me Santa and the downstairs neighbor who was so enthusiastic. They’re all adorable, but Brady’s roommates are curious creatures. I can’t wait for you to meet them.

Learning to Walk will go live on August 25th.
Learning to Run will go live on September

There will also be another preorder going up soon and that one involves a craft store owner, a worrier, and love at first sight. I wonder what that could be about, hmm? And I wonder how long that story will be when it comes out?

All your questions will be answered once I have a cover and a release plan…two of the hardest things to organize for a new release. (Insert dramatic sigh from Shaw here)

The Italian version of Bound With You (LEGATO DA TE) will be going up on preorder soon, and I’m so excited to show you this. I’m hoping to have this up in the next few days and it will have about a two-week preorder. If you speak Italian please please please contact me on Facebook or here through the site and let me know you’d like to become an Italian ARC reader. This is a self-published release (with the nicest translator) and any help you guys could give me with this would be much appreciated.

And last but not least, the next German translation will be up on preorder shortly as well. My wonderful translators were all incredibly hard at work this summer, and it’s keeping me busy too. The German version of Untouched will be up on preorder in the next week and will be live sometime in mid-August (I think). I can’t wait to show you guys how this one turned out, and I’m so thrilled that this series is finally in German.

Also, don’t forget I’ve got a secret that’s getting closer and closer to being able to show you, and I’m working on several bonus chapters and short freebies, so keep an eye out for those.
