Taboo books are so much fun but sometimes they surprise me.
I wrote the prequel for this book ages ago and then set it aside because I wasn’t sure where it was going or how it would look. So I took the easy way out and set it aside for something that was less stress to write.

But recently I was sorting through files to look for something I’d lost and I found this one again. (And the file I’d organized wrong lol)
This time when I reread what Jace had said about his mother passing away and how his life had changed I could see the bigger picture and how he would help his father.
Most books start with a new relationship and we see them happy, but we don’t always get to see what happens when a lifestyle sub loses their person.
Caring for My Boy is the story of a guy whose father is slowly falling apart and how he comes to see the bigger picture. Jace’s father didn’t just lose his spouse. He lost his Dominant and his anchor in life.
What’s in this book…
Their story is more hurt/comfort than fluff and it has mentions of suicidal fears but no past or no page attempt. This is taboo in nature with a son who’s the Dom and a father who’s the sub. (Just to make sure that’s clear lol). It also probably falls on the slower burn side of things depending on how you define that.

Author’s Note: Jace and Victor’s story is an M/m incest romance between a father and his college-aged son that has unhealthy logic and a lot of justification, but they’re consenting adults who care deeply for each other and I can see how we got to this point…overwhelming grief.
Content warnings are always hard to write because the things that upset people can vary wildly, but this story addresses grief, the loss of a loved one/parent, therapy that didn’t go right the first time, incest, mild-BDSM with a lifestyle sub, and mentions of suicidal fears but no actual attempt on page or in the past.
