I like trying to understand people. I like trying to put myself in their shoes and really grasp what makes them different, and hopefully, what makes them the same as everyone else. Some of the kinks and subjects that I write about are more controversial than others, but Jeremy and Kevin are close to my heart, no matter the basic taboo of their story.
Most of the time, I get inspiration from random things, occasionally from people in my own life, and sometimes from songs. I remember watching a music video, and one guy in it seemed so sad. It was just something that struck me, and probably not even part of the song, but I started imagining why he was so sad…Too Close To Love came out of that brainstorming.
When I let people read the first book, I was prepared for shock, or worse. But when they started to ask for more, I was honestly surprised.
