A Note From Shaw: Over the next couple of weeks we’re going to have some guest hosts here on my blog. I wanted to show you guys more about the other authors involved in the Legends series and show you more about their books because I’m just so excited for this project to finally get here. So to start off a new type of teasing we’ve got Becca Seymour here to tell you all about Bootylicious.

Welcome to the World of Legends 🌲
If you’ve ever looked at a dense forest or a quiet stretch of wilderness and thought something might be watching me… well, you’re not wrong.
Legends was born from that exact feeling—the sense that the wild places of the United States National Parks hold more than just beauty. They hold secrets. Creatures. Stories that were never meant to be discovered.
I’m the creator behind the Legends series, and I had one very specific goal: Bring together incredible authors to tell monster romance stories set in U.S. National Parks, where myth meets love in the most unexpected ways.
So I invited five amazing authors to join me: M.M. Wilde, Shaw Montgomery, TJ Nichols, Morgan Brice, and Denver Shaw—and together we’ve built something wild, romantic, and just a little chaotic (there is, in fact, a monster group chat).
Hi, I’m Becca Seymour 👋
If we haven’t met yet—hi, I’m so glad you’re here. I write MM romance with a love for soft tension, emotional connection, and characters who absolutely fall harder than they planned.
You might know me from my previous books like my gorgeous PITA supernatural vampires and shifters in my Fangs & Felons series, or my hot basketball players in the Zone Defense series (or you might be brand new—either way, welcome!). If you’ve read my work before, you already know I have a soft spot for:
grumpy/sunshine dynamics
yearning that gets a little out of hand
and characters who break their own rules
And if you haven’t? Oh, you’re starting in a very fun place.
My Cryptid: Bigfoot (a.k.a. Boone)
I went with Bigfoot—and honestly? There was no contest.
There’s something irresistible about a creature who’s built on mystery. Sightings without proof. Stories without answers. A legend that exists right on the edge of belief.
But what really hooked me was this question: What if Bigfoot isn’t just hiding… what if he’s lonely?
Boone became that answer.
A reclusive, careful, deeply isolated creature who has spent years avoiding humans… until he doesn’t. Until one human becomes impossible to ignore.
A Little Legend to Tempt You đź‘€
Bigfoot—also known as Sasquatch—is one of the most enduring cryptids in North American folklore. Sightings stretch back decades, maybe longer depending on the story you believe.
Witnesses describe something massive. Elusive. Watching from the trees.
Always just out of reach.
And that’s the part I couldn’t let go of—that idea of being close enough to see, but never to truly know.
Because in Legends, monsters aren’t just myths. They’re living hidden lives. They’re connected through a secret system called the Monster Network (yes, they complain about humans in group chats). And sometimes… they fall in love with the very people they’re supposed to avoid.
Teaser from Bootylicious 🌲
I should be terrified.
A rational part of my brain whispers that this is it, the moment I should feel every instinct scream at me to run. Instead, I feel strangely settled. My pulse jumps, but not in panic. My body recognizes some other reaction entirely, one that makes my stomach swoop and my chest feel too tight.
We stand this way for one long, suspended second. I don’t move. He doesn’t move. I can’t say how I know the figure is a “he,” but I’m absolutely certain.
My boot shifts on a patch of wet moss. My balance tilts.
The instant I look down to steady myself, eye contact breaks. My foot slips sideways. I catch myself with a hand on a nearby sapling, breath punching out of me in an inelegant grunt. My head gives a brief warning throb, like it’s reminding me that concussions still exist and I shouldn’t be making sudden movements.
I straighten as quickly as I dare and look back toward the trees.
The figure’s gone.
The space between the cedars is empty. No towering shape. No flash of fur. No gleam of amber eyes. Only ordinary forest shadow layered between the trunks, all perfectly mundane.
I stand here, heart beating too fast, trying to decide whether I imagined the whole thing. It could have been a trick of the light. It could have been a hiker in dark clothing who moved away while I looked down. It could have been anything.
