• His to Love Chapter 1

“Has he always been this…” Mom’s voice trailed off quietly as she seemed to forget I could still hear her through the phone.

“Awkward.” My dad was so helpful. “The word you’re looking for is awkward.”

  • His to Use Chapter 1

To hump the ass in front of me or not to hump…that was the question…

And it was a damned good one because it was soft and silky and nearly fucking bare.

Just remembering the sexy scrap of fabric he’d come in wearing masquerading as underwear had my dick getting even harder…and I’d woken up hard as a rock. I couldn’t decide if we’d come back to the same position after a night of wiggling or not, but I’d gone to bed as the big spoon and woken up the same way.

    Nestled against his tempting ass.

    Fuck it.

Kissing his neck, I rocked against his smooth cheeks, barely noticing the nearly invisible string that was nestled between them. After everything that’d happened and the fact that he’d come in last night wearing something so perfectly tempting, nothing said he was going to object to a few caresses.

  • Houston Chapter 1

“Alright. We’re going to get the hard stuff out of the way first. If you’re still interested afterward, I’ll show you around. Because it’s a good-size apartment, and I’m not asking an arm and a leg for the rent.” I hadn’t even given the guy a chance to say anything as I opened the door. I’d just charged right in, doing my best to ignore his big brown eyes and startled expression.

Reminding myself that I did not need to get distracted by the sexy teddy bear of a guy before I even knew how crazy he was, I kept going. “I work from home, so I’m here nearly all the time. I’m a little OCD, so if you’re messy, that’s going to be a problem. I’m gay. So if you’re a homophobe, or something crazy like those morons with the signs, I don’t even want to hear it. I’ve gotten the insanity from a dozen different people over the past week, so keep that shit to yourself.” He hadn’t run screaming like the uptight accountant, or crying like the short guy who’d started losing it because evidently, all the good apartments were gay, so it was a good sign.

  • The Handyman and The Drama Queen Chapter 1

Weren’t ghosts usually wearing old-fashioned clothes or elegant dresses that made them look classy? A nice suit? What about long nightgowns like that cranky guy from the Christmas ghost movie? Shit. Naked wouldn’t have been surprising.

This one was in Garfield lounge pants and a stained wifebeater that looked like he’d murdered someone.

    Wait.

    Was that spaghetti sauce?

  • Jonah Chapter 1

“Killing her this way just isn’t going to work. You’re going to have to get more creative with this one.” He’d boxed himself in and no amount of research was going to help. “I told you in the beginning there were only so many native plants that were poisonous.”

No matter what anyone said, writers were just as insane as any other artist.

Dakota gave me a scathing look as his pacing increased to an almost frantic level. “There has to be another option. That’s the point of the series.”

When he’d started his series based on a small town that had lots of crazy deaths, it had sounded like fun, but he hadn’t expected it to go on long enough that he’d run out of local plants that were poisonous or could remotely be from that region.

“What about an invasive species or someone who’s moved into the area from a weird part of the world?” I rolled over and stretched out on the floor. Desks were for boring people. “You said the college was going to be hiring next year. Just move up the timeline a bit.”

  • Kenton’s Courage Chapter 1

Kenton was not nearly as vanilla as he seemed to think he was, but the most important question on my mind as I watched him bounce around my backyard was if he knew that.

I just couldn’t decide and that was the only thing holding me back from asking out the excitable cutie.

Everyone he worked with seemed to treat his exuberance and wiggles as perfectly normal, but I’d never met anyone like Kenton before…and that said something.

Every time I thought I had a handle on him, he surprised me. When I decided he was sweet and probably as innocent as he seemed, he cracked a dirty joke. When I decided he was as dirty as his joke, he didn’t seem to understand why he couldn’t stare at my bulge without one of his coworkers redirecting him to something more appropriate.

They were really good at distracting him.

And that just gave me even more questions.
