Learning to Love Chapter 1

Leon

Dating was significantly easier when you already had a relationship with the person…and it helped that it was only one person and not a series of strangers.

“Would you like to have a say in our dinner plans this evening or would you prefer to be surprised?” I thought it was a simple question, but Morgan turned and looked at me.

“You never ask it that way.” He had a very similar expression to the one Destin sometimes wore when he looked at me.

I’d clearly done something interesting, but I had no idea what.

“We usually go out to dinner and then a planned activity like a movie. I had a different idea, but I wasn’t sure if you would appreciate the change.” I didn’t always appreciate change, but it seemed that I was in the minority. “I wasn’t sure how you felt about surprises.”

I’d have brought the subject up earlier if I’d known it would be difficult. Pulling into the parking lot of the campus was not the best time for a lengthy discussion.

“A good surprise, though, right?” He gave me a smile that said he wasn’t too worried. “Birthday present surprise, not surprise—the zombies are attacking?”

“You are clearly editing a lot of your comments if that is the first comparison that comes to mind.” The zombies were the bad option, right?

He giggled, then nodded. “Sometimes.”

Then had it been a slip of the tongue this time or a deliberate relaxation of his internal filter?

“If the scale is birthday presents to zombies, I would have to put it at the birthday end of the scale.” Certainly not zombies, no matter how many people watched those shows.

“Then yes, I would love a surprise, Daddy.” He leaned over and gave me a peck on the cheek. A sure sign that the idea of a surprise had him inching toward his little side…which was perfect for tonight.

“Alright then, I’ll surprise you.” I thought the conversation was over, but as we climbed out of the car, he bounced excitedly.

“A thing surprise or a place surprise?” His grin widened. “You said I could have a burger tonight, so is it a place surprise?”

I was reasonably certain I wasn’t supposed to give him any information about the surprise, so I gave him a firm stare. “Do we beg for information on our surprise?”

He nodded excitedly, with almost comically wide eyes. “Oh yes, but don’t actually tell me.”

His internal rules for this topic were very interesting. However, based on how Destin would have answered that, it was probably me who was interesting. “The only thing I will say is that you will still get your burger.”

That earned me an excited wiggle. “And French fries. You said I could have them with my burger.”

“Yes, I did.” Which was why I had everything ready for a large salad for lunch.

He started to say something else, but I shook my head. “You’ll be late if you pester me about this. Go to class and I’ll meet you at the library after you’re done.”

I got a teasing smile. “You know you don’t have to wait for me. I can take the bus.”

Shaking my head, I gave him a firm response. “No.”

He giggled, clearly remembering our earlier discussion that as Daddy it was my decision if I wanted to wait for him. He’d found it amusing that I’d wanted control over his bus use and his orgasms. I thought I should have started with the bus and moved to orgasms, but he found it entertaining.

“That woman grabbed your ass.” The bus was clearly not safe. “I will deal with it if there’s no other option, and I have no desire to curtail your freedom, but just no.”

He was clearly too cute for public transportation.

I seemed to be more traumatized than he was because he just smiled and nodded. “Yes, Daddy. Okay, got to run.”

If he hadn’t dawdled this morning, he wouldn’t be running late, but I wasn’t going to lecture him again because that would make him later. As I headed over to my first class, my mind started to wander to my plans for the evening. He was either going to love it or…no, he was going to love it.

I just had to keep telling myself that.

****

“Is it time yet, Daddy?” Morgan rolled over from where he’d been reading on the floor and gave me a teasing smile. He’d been thoroughly enjoying asking me that a thousand times over the course of the afternoon.

I wasn’t sure if he liked to see me rolling my eyes or if it was something he missed from childhood, but I was starting to understand why so many sitcoms had a parent threatening to toss a child out of the car for asking that question.

“Yes. It’s time.” Even though it was almost dinner, he was clearly not expecting that answer because he stared at me for several seconds before sitting up like he was in a cartoon.

“Really?” He looked around like he wasn’t sure what to do next.

Refusing to smile and say how funny I’d found all of his antics, I nodded and rose off the couch. “Let’s go get you ready.”

I was already dressed fine for the restaurant, and technically so was Morgan, but I had a different plan for him. He was getting ready to spring into a list of questions, so I cut him off. “Go use the bathroom and then meet me in my bedroom.”

That had him freezing and staring at me with wide eyes.

I raised one eyebrow and waited. We both knew I wasn’t going to do something outrageous or push his limits too much, so it only took seconds for him to jump up. “I’ll hurry.”

Not knowing what the right response to that statement was, I headed into the bedroom. Morgan didn’t seem to mind my lack of reaction because he didn’t even look behind him as he ran into the bathroom.

I wasn’t sure how much time I had, so I went right over to my closet and pulled out some of his new clothes. I hadn’t decided where the best place to keep them was, so they were just on my shelf for the moment. However, that didn’t seem right. His clothes needed a special place, but I had a feeling it was going to take me a while to figure out where.

As I finished laying out his outfit for the evening, I heard him running through the living room. “Daddy?”

His head popped around the corner like he was expecting something to jump out at him. Before I could say anything, he noticed the clothes on the bed and stepped into the doorway. “Oh, Daddy.”
His reaction seemed to be surprised but excited, so I relaxed somewhat. “Come here. If you want your hamburger, we need to get you ready.”

He nodded slowly, inching deeper into the room. “You got my new clothes?”

“Yes, they came in yesterday when you were in class.” The order hadn’t come as quickly as I’d expected, but the quality was good so I couldn’t complain too much.

“Am I going to wear my new clothes out?” Again, his emotions seemed mixed, but I had a feeling that even if I’d said yes without any qualifiers, I didn’t think he would’ve had an issue with it.

“Yes, but no one else is going to see. Let me show you.” As Morgan got closer, I wrapped my arms around him and turned him to face the bed. “Your onesie looks just like a T-shirt and with your jeans on no one will notice. The underwear is thicker than regular boxer briefs, but I don’t think they’ll be noticeable.”

He was still just staring, so I continued. “If you need to use the restroom while we’re out, a stall will provide enough privacy for you so that no one notices.”

Reaching out slowly, he stroked his fingers over the onesie and then the training pants with the cartoon animals on them. “They’re perfect, Daddy. Thank you.”

If I was getting nothing but praise from him, why did he seem so surprised? “What are you thinking?”

He must have realized I wasn’t going to budge until I had my answer because he sighed and leaned into me as he started to speak. “I know we talked about it and I love them, but it’s weird seeing them here. I thought about buying stuff like this for a while, but I never thought I’d actually have anything like it.”

He took a breath, then started stroking my hands as I held him. “I guess it’s like my toys. I always thought they’d be a secret where I had just a few but couldn’t have any more. This is…sometimes I question whether this is real or not.”

I could definitely understand that, but I didn’t want him to worry about it like that. Turning him around in my arms, I kissed him tenderly. It was slow and gentle, not passionate. He was cuddly and smiling as I pulled away. “I can easily promise this is real and that you won’t wake up from a dream.”

Bodily reactions aside, everything felt too real with him sometimes, not the other way around. It was like I was finally awake.

“We’re going to explore all kinds of things and see what we like. If after tonight you decide that you don’t want to wear anything like this out in public again, that’s fine. Some things we’ll enjoy and some things we won’t, but the main point is to try.” It was like everything else in life.

He turned his head and took a peek at the clothes before looking back at me. “What if we get into a car accident and the emergency room people figure out what’s under my clothes?”

I smiled. “First of all, I can promise you that just wearing clothes like this will not even make it into the top one hundred weird things they’ve ever seen.”

Top two hundred, maybe.

“But as long as I am conscious, I will make sure everyone remembers privacy laws and I will threaten them with all holy hell if a single comment makes it out onto the internet.” I wouldn’t define my family as rich, but they knew people and I could easily pull up a list of the top lawyers in the state if necessary.

Morgan smiled. “You wouldn’t be embarrassed?”

I snorted. “Of course not. It’s clothes. We wouldn’t be going in because you shoved something unreasonable up your rectum.”

Laughter burst out of him like a balloon that had popped unexpectedly. He found it so funny he actually had to sit down. Shaking my head, I watched his giggles finally slow. “My mother is an emergency room physician. She’s very good about patient privacy, but there were the occasional stories that were designed to be…cautionary tales.”

Morgan scoffed as he chuckled. “You’re not the type to do something like that.”

“I’d never understood why she thought I needed to hear those lectures, but after meeting people on campus, I finally got it.” I was serious, but Morgan giggled again.

“Am I a bad person for thinking that Destin probably needed that lecture?” He looked slightly guilty about that, but I shook my head.

“Absolutely not. It was one of the first things I lectured him on.” My mother’s lectures had finally paid off.

He coughed a few times, trying not to laugh again. “I’m glad you thought to explain that to him.”

After what he’d threatened to do with his hairbrush unless I explained how to buy a dildo, I’d given him several lectures.

I was fairly certain I’d kept him reasonably safe, but he had no fear of anything.

It was unnerving.

“I was as thorough as possible.” I was being serious, but he was clearly struggling not to laugh again.

“He likes to tell stories of how thorough you were.” Standing back up, Morgan kissed my cheek. “He said you had an unreasonable fear of him being kidnapped?”

I snorted. “It wasn’t unreasonable.”

Of all the things he could complain about, the one based in news headlines should not have been one of them. “He was randomly dating all kinds of people that he met in strange places without being careful enough. Don’t you remember that rash of abductions a few years ago? Those were primarily from gay bars. Yes, they were several states away, but they were never found. I was not going to take chances. He had no sense of self-preservation.”

“Oh, that makes sense.” Morgan gave me a hug. “I forgot about those.”

He’d gotten lucky with Avery and Ray, but it could have gone very badly.

“Destin couldn’t read people very well and made some dangerous decisions in who to approach his first few months of dating.” He’d nearly given me a heart attack several times. “I’m very glad you’re more sensible.”

Morgan smiled. “Is that another word for boring?”

I scoffed. “Absolutely not. You are highly unique.”

He giggled. “I’m not sure that’s any better.”

Giving his ass a swat, I shook my head. “My boy is unique and well behaved, and I appreciate that.”

“Yes, Daddy.” He gave me another peck on the cheek.

“That’s better.” I thought back to something I’d read. Stroking down his back, I caressed the area that I’d just spanked. “My good boy deserves a lot of rewards. But talking negatively about yourself is not something I’ll tolerate. You’re going to be a good boy, aren’t you?”

The little shiver that raced through him said I’d found the right tone.

“Yes, Daddy.” He looked up at me with wide, needy eyes. “I’ll be good.”

I had a feeling that bath time later was going to end up being very interesting.

Giving him a tender kiss, I kept the Daddy feel that the conversation had taken. “I’m glad I have such a good boy. It makes it easy to reward you with special things like tonight.”

He made an excited little noise. “Can I ask yet?”

I made a low hum. “I think so.”

He gave me a hug. “Thank you, Daddy. What are we doing?”

“We are going to go play at a restaurant that has dinner and games. We’ll play some and you can even earn tickets to get a toy if you want.” His eyes widened, making me smile. “And everyone there will be playing games and being silly, so my boy will not stand out.”

Morgan looked back and forth between me and the bed. “That’s why I get to wear my new little clothes?”

“Yes, I want to see how you look in your new clothes too, but they’re going to be perfect for tonight.” His smile said he liked the idea as much as I did. “You’ll get your hamburger and be able to play games and feel little too.”

The last time I’d been there with a few friends it’d been a madhouse and no one had been acting their age. I was certain we wouldn’t be the most unique individuals in the restaurant.

“It’s going to be great. Thank you, Daddy.” He started wiggling again. “I’m ready for my new clothes, Daddy.”

I took that as a hint that I should move things along. “Okay, hands up.”

Stepping back, I pulled his T-shirt off and reached for his pants. I hadn’t undressed him too many times yet, but as I stripped his clothes off, it didn’t feel awkward. And I knew with the clothes finally arriving it would be a lot more common occurrence.

It wasn’t done by remote, but it wasn’t sexual either. I had a hard time pinning down the emotion, but as I helped him out of his pants, I decided that it didn’t matter. Taking his boxer briefs off made things a little more…heated, maybe, but he was more excited about his clothes than being naked, so that made it easier.

“Look at the giraffe, Daddy.” His cock might have started to thicken, but his focus was on the briefs.

Reaching for them, I helped him step into the padded cartoon training pants. Reminding myself that he enjoyed my touch and it was completely appropriate, I adjusted his cock as I got the underwear into place. “Very nice.”

Morgan beamed. “Look, Daddy.”

He did a turn, trying to see the backside as well. “I’ve got animals.”

“Yes, you do.” The thick underwear made him look very little as he smiled, but from the reviews I’d seen online, as long as his pants weren’t too tight, they wouldn’t be noticeable. “Now your shirt.”

Standing up, I reached for the onesie and slipped it over his head. The extra material made it a bit cumbersome, but it went on easily and soon I was snapping the fabric between his legs. “You should be able to reach between your legs if you need to use the bathroom.”

I looked up to see Morgan’s cheeks turning pink. “Yes, Daddy.”

I wasn’t sure if his embarrassment was because of the bathroom comment or just fears over not being able to open them himself but being too shy to bring it up. “If you need help, it has a family bathroom that is a single stall, so I’ll be able to help you out without raising eyebrows.”

The internet was a wealth of interesting information I never thought would be necessary to know.

He was still looking flushed, but he giggled. “That might raise some eyebrows, Daddy.”

I shrugged. “You’re more important.”

His smile was sweet as I reached for his pants. Before I could have him step back into them, he leaned over and gave me a kiss on my cheek. “Thank you, Daddy.”

“You’re welcome.” My hands were full of his pants so I couldn’t hug him, but after I got him dressed, I stood up and wrapped my arms around him. “You look very cute.”

He snuggled in tight against my chest. “Thank you for my new clothes, Daddy.”

“You’re welcome. I’m glad they fit. You look very cute and I think they’re perfect for my boy.” I hadn’t really thought the clothes would change anything, but as I ran my hands down the back of the shirt, just knowing what secrets his clothes were hiding made him seem somehow even more mine.
