Grumpy Meets Grumpy – Pre-Order Tropes and Tenderness Now

Grumpy Meets Grumpy - Pre-order Tropes and Tenderness Now - blog post my MA Innes

Grumpy is supposed to meet sunshine…that’s how the trope works.
Every reader knows that.
Klynn knows that.
Agent Murphy knows that.
It seems like no one told the mate bond that.

This was the temporary blurb and basically all I knew about their story when I put the preorder up for the next dragon book, Tropes and Tenderness.

We’ve got Klynn…a grumpy reader who isn’t going to talk about diner nonsense.

Then we’ve got Agent Murphy…a grumpy G-man who’s not going to talk about diner nonsense.

But poking at these guys didn’t get much to begin with, so I worked on bonus chapters and alt-POV chapters and ended up with a lot of random things before I figured out where our grumpy agent wanted to start.

His work.

Okay.

So this is how Tropes and Tenderness starts…

“You’re human, right?”
Screaming at him never helped.
Screaming at him never helped.
Screaming at him never helped.
“Have I started glowing in meetings?”

I’m starting to understand why he’s so nuts and I can’t wait to share it with you. But for now, here’s the full blurb and this is the reminder that you need to start your dragon reread before Klynn and Agent Murphy get here on January 23rd.

Klynn

Humans. Klynn knows that humans come in a variety of shapes, colors, and personalities. What he isn’t expecting is to find a human mate. A stern mate who glares and doesn’t talk about diner nonsense or mate business in public. He’s perfect. The only problem? How to tell his mate that he’s Klynn’s mate.

Agent Murphy

Aliens. Agent Murphy knows aliens—dragons especially—come in all shapes, colors, and personalities. What he isn’t expecting is to find one rational, perfect man in a sea of ridiculousness and inappropriate questions. Klynn is private, serious, and not into talking about diner nonsense. The only problem? How to figure out what kind of diner nonsense his boy is actually into.
When a passionate reader finds the main character of his dreams, two unconventional men will write a story that bridges the stars.
