Daddy’s Little Artist will be here before you know it (April 18th!) so I thought I’d tell you more about my book and the others in the Daddies for Dollars series.
When I was first asked about doing a shared world series based around Daddies being auctioned off for charity, it sounded like fun, but I wasn’t sure how it would work because it didn’t seem like something my guys would volunteer for without a bit of prodding.
Then I started poking at some of the people in my head and Gray raised his hand. (Remember, Gray was Wilder’s best friend from Lane in the Leashes & Lace series.)
His mother did it.
Yep, it’s the charity version of being voluntold.
He was not a happy camper…but I was. He’d finally started chatting and writing his story meant I could cross his name off the side characters who need stories list on my office whiteboard.
But aside from that it’s been so much fun getting to know Gray and watching him figure out what he needed to be happy—because let me tell you, his family is nuts and his dating life has sucked—but now he has Camden. I think that’s my favorite part of the story. They’ve both figured out what they need to be happy.
I asked the other authors in the series what their favorite parts of their story are so I could share with you.
–Honey London’s first answer was my favorite. She was excited that it was finished. After a laugh, she gave an answer that made me sigh… “Personal growth…both characters improve as people/overcome personal obstacles because of the other”. I think that’s going to be a great story.
–Della Cain wins the cuteness prize… (after overthinking this question just a bit lol) “What I love about it is that it is a sweet daddy-boy dynamic with a bonus side of adorable animals.” So much cuteness…but it made me go hunting for the blurb because I was curious about the animals part…one of the main characters runs an animal shelter…have I pointed out how cute this is going to be? This one is already live and in KU so go check it out.
–A.W. Scott was the overachiever in the group and gave me so many fun things about her story, but this is the one that jumped out at me the most… “The grumpy billionaire realizes he’s a Daddy after meeting a stubborn boy just waiting for someone to take care of him (even though he won’t admit it at first).” I love grumpy Doms. They’re some of my favorites and I can’t wait to read this one.
-I have to admit, I’m most curious about Simon Strange’s book, though. He said his favorite part was… “Harrison’s position of being dominant for Loren and submissive for Kody, because it makes for an unusual dynamic and sets the stage for all sorts of sexy shenanigans.” Sexy shenanigans are some of my favorite things.
–Chara Croft’s first answer was “kittens.” But after making me laugh, she made me smile and said her favorite part was… “Deke helping Marshall see that there’s more than one way to be a Daddy.” This looks perfect for those of you who are looking for a cheeky, delightfully innocent sub who knows what he wants and goes after it…and tails make everything much more fun.
I loved all the responses and seeing the different personalities come out in the authors as they tried to answer my question. They’re all so funny, and I’m just a tiny bit of a sadist here, but I liked making them squirm. (Shh, don’t tell.)

If you’re curious about how Gray reacted when he heard about being auctioned off, you can read the first chapter of Daddy’s Little Artist.
Blurb:
When getting unexpectedly sold in a charity auction is the most interesting thing that’s happened lately, Gray knows something has to change. Unfortunately, he first has to figure out why he’s been purchased and if the crayons around the cutie’s house and ABC chicken nuggets he’s served for dinner have anything to do with it.
Camden’s pretty sure he didn’t order the attractive, slightly frustrated man online, but with him standing on his front porch and glaring so strikingly, he can’t rule it out. He knows he’s slightly disorganized and easily distracted, but he would remember ordering Gray to be delivered, right?
When two meddling family members butt in where they don’t belong, a new Daddy and a sweet little with a passion for junk food and crayons might find true love…but they’re still hoping to drop a house or two on some meddling busybodies.
