When I first started thinking about writing a book about a guy who liked wearing lingerie, I couldn’t pick just one story to tell. There were so many ideas and people banging around in my head, I knew it would have to be a series. Leashes & Lace came out of that brainstorming and exploring. I wanted a series that would be a place where all the characters could show you their stories. Each couple will be different, and each man who’s drawn to lingerie, and sometimes other feminine things, will have a unique story to tell as well.
Houston is the first book in the series.
As I started planning out his book, he came across as open and take charge but a little hesitant. It took me a while to figure out he was trying to tell me he was a Dom as well. My panty-wearing Dom knows what he wants, but he’s a bit tired of other people judging him. When his new roommate moves in, he’s not ready to believe that the perfect guy has fallen right into his lap. I can’t wait for you to meet them.
Here’s the first chapter…
Last year at GRL (Gay Romance Lit retreat) I got to hang out with R. Phoenix. She’s a wonderful author who writes dark, mostly supernatural books with complicated romances and characters that draw you in. Well, as we were talking at GRL we both made a passing comment about wanting to work together on a project at some point.
Much to my surprise, she actually meant it. In January, we started talking about what we should write and bouncing around ideas. Well, Adrian and Owen came out of those discussions. The story is sweeter than she usually writes, but as most of you know, the people in my head are loving and cute, not particularly dark. So she took it easy on me as we started discussing different taboos and kinks.
Almost Strangers is an incest/puppy play romance between brothers who are basically living separate lives at the start of the story. Over the course of the book, they get to know each other and start to see that they were both under a lot of misconceptions…about themselves and each other.
They’re sweet, and are both a little scared even though they handle their fear differently. I can’t wait for you to meet our new guys. Check out the first chapter if you’re curious.
One of the new series that I have coming up soon is Leashes & Lace. It’s going to revolve around an online store that sells men’s lingerie and fetish wear. You’ll see different employees and customers in each book, but they’ll all revolve around the store in some way.
I can’t wait for you to meet my new guys and see how sexy and funny they are. So far it’s an interesting mix of fascinating and not quite traditional couples. From a sassy bottom who isn’t afraid to make waves, to a Dom who wears panties, they’re all unique, and I’m thoroughly enjoying writing about them.
To tide you over until the first book is released, here is a standalone short prequel to start the series. NO newsletter sign up is required to download the book. Have fun with Easton and Daniel.
I like trying to understand people. I like trying to put myself in their shoes and really grasp what makes them different, and hopefully, what makes them the same as everyone else. Some of the kinks and subjects that I write about are more controversial than others, but Jeremy and Kevin are close to my heart, no matter the basic taboo of their story.
Most of the time, I get inspiration from random things, occasionally from people in my own life, and sometimes from songs. I remember watching a music video, and one guy in it seemed so sad. It was just something that struck me, and probably not even part of the song, but I started imagining why he was so sad…Too Close To Love came out of that brainstorming.
When I let people read the first book, I was prepared for shock, or worse. But when they started to ask for more, I was honestly surprised. In Too Close To Break, you get to see the next step in their story. I can’t wait to show it to you. Too Close To Break comes out on Friday, March 2, 2018, and I’m so excited for you to see how they’re growing and how their first year away from home has changed them. I hope you love my sweet, unconventional guys as much as I do. Here’s a peek at the first chapter of the new book.
