How a Real Life Town and College Inspired The Setting For Three Series

There have always been certain places in my life that I just felt like I belonged…that it was where I was supposed to be. I always knew I would move back to North Carolina, no matter how many places I moved to in the meantime. But the first place I knew was a space I’d return to was Williamsburg, Virginia.

Even as a young teenager, the first time I saw the campus of William & Mary I knew that was where I wanted to be. So it probably won’t surprise you that when I started imagining a college for my guys where they could learn to be themselves and be happy, I always pictured that campus in my head.

I’ve taken a lot of liberties with the town and the surrounding area, but it’s the feel of the college and the way the town spreads out around it that I love and wanted to give to my guys.

I got a chance this week to walk through Williamsburg and the college again, this time showing it to my teenage kids, and that feeling came rushing back. It was wonderful getting to soak up that feeling again, even if my kids don’t really understand. However, they humored me and we had a great time so I have no complaints.

But as we walked around the mostly deserted campus, I couldn’t help but picture how my guys would look there…Kevin running across campus because he was late or Bryan hiding out between some of the buildings just because he needed a break…and Cody wandering between the buildings with his head in the clouds.

They’re all so very real to me, and I can’t help but think that some of that realness is because I’ve always imagined them in one of my favorite places.

Pictures in this post are from my recent trip to campus, and although I’ve taken a lot of liberties with the town, I hope you enjoy seeing where I imagine them wandering around.

William and Mary College is featured in three of my series:

The Loving Series, a slow burn incest taboo between loving brothers. Read Book 1, Too Close to Love.
The Pieces Series, a best friends to lovers age play story. Check out book one, His Missing Pieces.
The Embrace Series, a slow burn threesome romance featuring a nervous professor and his loving Daddy. Here’s book one: Embracing Faith.

Avery and Destin are here!

Our sweet, can-handle-anything Avery is finally here. The Only Way to Dream is live and Avery and his funny guys are hilarious together. Avery has never met anyone like Destin and has never dated anyone like Ray, but he’s drawn to both of them.

Destin throws himself into everything and has a list of things he wants to explore. The Only Way to Dream has age play (no diapers) and puppy play. If it were up to Destin, he’d have done nothing but drag both of them to bed, but Avery and Ray are making sure they keep their boy safe…even from himself.

Keep an eye out for some fun cameos, and let me know what you think of Destin’s roommate. I think he needs a book too.

Detective Avery is here!

The Only Way to Dream will go live this Friday and is up for pre-order. Not only are you going to find out more about Ray, one of the mechanics in The Only Way to Love, you’re finally going to get to know our sexy Detective Avery.

Avery first showed up with the guys from the Loving series (available on this site and on Smashwords), and since then, he’s popped in and out but didn’t get chatty until recently. Getting to know Avery has been wonderful, but seeing how he interacts with the sexy, teasing Ray and the flirty, sweet Destin is so cute.

Avery and Ray are the perfect balance to each other and to Destin’s utter exuberance with the way he throws himself at life. For those of you who remember Jay from Untouched, Destin grew up in the same community, so he sees things a little differently. However, instead of being nervous about the real world, Destin loves it.

Embracing Love Audiobook Ready for Listening!

The audiobook for Embracing Love is now live. It took a bit longer than I thought it would, but the rest of the story for Cody and his sweet Doms is now out.

Embracing Faith and Embracing Love are about Cody, Jameson, and Ford, three men who are all very different but perfect for each other. If you haven’t read the story of Cody, with his Daddy Ford, and the confused professor Jameson the audiobooks are the perfect way to enjoy it.

It will also give you something fun to enjoy until The Only Way to Dream comes out on the 22nd and you get to see what it takes for Detective Avery to finally fall head-over-heels in love. There will be more out about Detective Avery and his men this weekend, so keep an eye out.

Embracing Faith Now On Audible!

Some characters just shine in audiobook. Cody from Embracing Faith and Embracing Love is one of them. Kenneth Obi has done a great job capturing how quirky he is and how he just sees things a little differently. I can’t wait to see what you think now that Embracing Faith is out.

Embracing Love will be recorded in early-March so don’t wait to listen to Embracing Faith or you’re going to be behind. I have to admit, listening to Cody’s logic and how he approaches Ford the first time at the club made me laugh. I hope you have just as much fun with him.

Two Alphas and One Omega?…Out December 6th!

My omegas are back.

I love characters who go against convention, and these omegas always do their own thing which makes them even more fun to write. (What can I say, I like it when they surprise me.)

Jonah was especially entertaining to write because Graham was very quiet at first. Getting him to open up wasn’t easy, but it turned out he just needed his alpha partner around to show who he really is. Russ is so outgoing and confident that when he popped up on the scene, everything about Graham’s hesitation made complete sense.

Jonah is an MMM romance where the two alphas have a relationship before Jonah meets them, but there is no cheating and both alphas are enthusiastic about finding the omega they want to share their life with. Graham’s a little shy about telling Jonah about his relationship with Russ, but Russ doesn’t mind taking the lead there and loves driving Graham a bit nuts. I hope you have as much fun reading their story as I did writing it.
