Being Accepted For Who You Are -Without Limits Coming Soon

One of the things that was hard for me growing up was knowing I was different but not being able to put a name to it. There were so many stories and ideas running through my head and things I was curious about, but I didn’t have anyone to talk about them with.

When I first started writing (my taboo books in particular), it was amazing to have so many people to share that part of myself with and who were drawn to it as well. The readers who’ve contacted me over the past couple of years to share how my books have touched them or how they’ve related to my characters have meant the world to me. But they also got me thinking.

I couldn’t help but wonder how differently my life would’ve turned out if there had been someone for me to talk to as a kid who’d really understood or who could’ve just accepted me for who I was, not who I’d been told I had to be. So I started thinking about my characters (because really, most of my life involves thinking about how they would react to things lol). That’s where Trent and Hayden came from.

From the first moment they popped up as side characters it was clear they’d been best friends forever, and I wanted to show that relationship. I wanted them to have each other from the very beginning so there was always someone who understood them.

So when I sat down to write their story, I started when they were eight. Kids have such a clear way of seeing things, without all the worries about the whys and fears about what it says about them. They just love and they accept. And when everything is going against you like it is for Hayden and Trent, unconditional acceptance is what keeps you going.

I hope you enjoy their book, and I hope that someday every child can be who they were meant to be without anyone making them feel like it’s wrong.

Family by Fate FREE until July 9th!

I got together this weekend with several other authors on Facebook to celebrate pet play books. So as part of that party, I decided (at the very last minute lol) to put Family by Fate free this weekend.

Family by Fate is the prequel to The Accidental Master series. It shows Cooper and Sawyer (my sweet pups) during their first Christmas together after they’re on their own. If you haven’t read that series yet, this is a sweet start to it. Have fun with my cute guys.

Family by Fate is free through Tuesday, July 9.

Release Day… Untouched

It’s release day for Jay and Logan in Untouched. I can’t wait for you to meet them. I love the idea that opposites attract, and these two are clearly very different but end up having so much in common. Check out the first chapter if you’re curious about my new pup.

Jay…coming soon!

Less than a week to go until you meet Jay. He started out as a random side character and surprised me with how awkward he was. When he showed up in the Pieces series, something about him seemed more lost than my usual characters. Getting to know him and seeing what he’d been going through was an interesting journey.

Jay’s book, Untouched, comes out on Friday, and I have to say that while he’s so funny, it’s a bit sad to see how completely confused he is at the beginning of the book. I can’t wait for you to meet him, and I’m curious to see what you think.

If you want to see the college world through Jay’s eyes, check out the first chapter of Untouched.

Untouched Chapter 1

Chapter 1

Jay

“Man, he shoved that beer can of his so far up my ass. It was incredible.” The crass words made me blush, but they also didn’t make sense.

Why would he want a beer can shoved up his…butt?

The half-drunk guy that was stretched out on the common room couch answered my unasked question. “It was great, but I’m just saying that thing was so thick I’ve been walking funny for days. Man, no more tops with dicks that wide. I’ll take a nice long thin one any day.”

Ohhh.

“You’re such a slut.” The other voice that seemed to be coming from the floor didn’t consider that a bad thing, if I read his tone of voice right. He seemed to think couch guy was funny. But I could have misunderstood.

I wasn’t a moron, but people’s reactions, especially to sexual things…confused me.

Like, why were they even talking about it at all? The middle of the common room in the dorms wouldn’t have been my first choice of locations to have that kind of discussion. Especially when there seemed to be endless parties going on. Not that I would have talked about something like that with someone anyway.

But still…a beer can?

I couldn’t stop my mind from trying to picture what he was talking about. I imagined a beer can on the old statues I’d seen pictures of, but my brain had other ideas. It immediately changed the cold marble to Logan. My roommate.

I shouldn’t know what he looked like naked, but I did.

I’d been raised with the idea that once you were old enough to take care of yourself in the bathroom, being naked was only acceptable if it was with your spouse, but no one else seemed to follow those rules. People walked around the dorms half-clothed on a regular basis—and then there were people like Logan.

He was naked constantly.

What could I do?

He’d clearly been raised with the idea that being naked was…appropriate. My parents had always said that we didn’t judge and must accept others for what they believed, but I wasn’t sure they’d meant things like this.

Naked strangers.

Sex talk.

Weird sex talk.

And naughty things under the bed.

Brent & Calen

>My favorite stories have characters who are a little unique—people who love a little bit differently, kinks that are outside the box, strong subs who rule the roost, gender fluid characters, the twink Dom, the big bear who’s really a submissive. I have a lot of books coming up this fall and too many WIP to count right now, but they all have special characters I hope you’ll love.

Brent and Calen are two characters who don’t seem that unique on the surface, but things aren’t always as they appear. Brent’s a strong sub who knows what he wants. He loves submission, but he’s not going to kneel for just anyone. Calen’s not your typical Dom. He’s hiding something that makes him feel…different.

I can’t wait to see what you think. Take a look at the first chapter
