Being Accepted For Who You Are -Without Limits Coming Soon

One of the things that was hard for me growing up was knowing I was different but not being able to put a name to it. There were so many stories and ideas running through my head and things I was curious about, but I didn’t have anyone to talk about them with.

When I first started writing (my taboo books in particular), it was amazing to have so many people to share that part of myself with and who were drawn to it as well. The readers who’ve contacted me over the past couple of years to share how my books have touched them or how they’ve related to my characters have meant the world to me. But they also got me thinking.

I couldn’t help but wonder how differently my life would’ve turned out if there had been someone for me to talk to as a kid who’d really understood or who could’ve just accepted me for who I was, not who I’d been told I had to be. So I started thinking about my characters (because really, most of my life involves thinking about how they would react to things lol). That’s where Trent and Hayden came from.

From the first moment they popped up as side characters it was clear they’d been best friends forever, and I wanted to show that relationship. I wanted them to have each other from the very beginning so there was always someone who understood them.

So when I sat down to write their story, I started when they were eight. Kids have such a clear way of seeing things, without all the worries about the whys and fears about what it says about them. They just love and they accept. And when everything is going against you like it is for Hayden and Trent, unconditional acceptance is what keeps you going.

I hope you enjoy their book, and I hope that someday every child can be who they were meant to be without anyone making them feel like it’s wrong.

Hayden Has a Secret – Without Limits Coming Soon!

I think these might be the cutest characters I’ve ever written. Last month I sat down to figure out what to write next and thought Hayden and Trent (side characters from Beautiful Shame, Book 3) would be a fun and easy book to write. I knew how their story ended and assumed it would be really short.

I was wrong.

Unsurprisingly, it turned out longer than I expected. When I sat down to start, I knew that because they’d known each other forever I had to start at the beginning. Well, the beginning for them was when they were kids. I just wasn’t sure how that would turn out.

The first chapter is where Trent discovers that his best friend Hayden has a secret…well, two really…then we jump to when they’re older. There are several time jumps in the book because they just has so much they wanted to share. I’ve done my best to make sure the jumps are clear and make sense in the story line, but there are no flashbacks so that should make it easier.
Here is the start of Without Limits.

Second-Guessing Love Out now!

For those of you who like my incest books, I have a short (16k words) twincest, Second-Guessing Love, that was written because of some inspiration from my editor. It’s not quite as sweet as my usual stories, but they’re definitely hot and know what they want. Gage is a bit stalker-ish when it comes to his twin Justin, so I’m curious to see what you think of my sexy stalker and his clueless twin.

The book is also up on Smashwords for those of you who would rather buy from them.

Miles and his Daddy

Rethinking Fate is now live! Miles and Sean are so cute together and had such a sweet start; I can’t wait to see what you think about their story. Miles was so worn out and overwhelmed that even from the very beginning I knew his book would be different.

One of my favorite things about him is that he’s very openminded with his patients. So it’s not surprising that the same tendency carried over into his personal life too. I just wasn’t sure how it would all come together. I think that you’ll love his story and how even though he’s confident and focused on his career, he still understands the draw of letting everything go and having his Daddy be in charge.

Dr. Sheppard in Rethinking Fate

The preorder for Dr. Sheppard’s book is finally up, and I’m so excited to show you Rethinking Fate. Even from the very beginning when he made an appearance in Secrets in the Dark, he was always very reserved and kept his personal life to himself. He never hid the fact that he was little, but otherwise, he was very quiet…frustratingly so sometimes.

I’m a big believer in getting help when you need it, so as the books went on, I pulled him out several more times when it was clear I had characters who needed someone safe to talk to. I honestly never thought people would want his story, so when I started to go back and look at how he fell in love, it was an interesting experience.

To me, Dr. Sheppard was this quiet man who was happy and had a bit of a hidden funny side, but that was it. Figuring out how he got to be the man I’m familiar with was an interesting experience. This is a slow burn romance with a few fun cameos from some familiar faces.

I can’t wait to see what you think of Miles and his sexy artistic Daddy, Sean. Here’s a peek at the first part of the book.

Rethinking Fate Prologue

Prologue

Miles

“You ask him. You’re the one who’s curious.” Bryan’s whispered voice held an edge of panic, but since it was Kevin egging him on, I thought that was to be expected.

“But you’re the one who’s little, so you should ask.” Kevin seemed to be trying to convince Bryan that his logic was sound, but there was obviously some debate over that.

“This isn’t my idea. I don’t even know why I’m listening to you.” Bryan’s voice was clearly stressed but since he seemed more likely to hit Kevin than pass out, I didn’t step in. “You’re a nuisance, and I’m going to tell Jeremy you’re driving me crazy.”

Kevin just giggled. “Good, I haven’t been spanked in days.”

Bryan groaned. “I don’t need to know that.”

Kevin giggled again.

“Let’s just go.” Evidently whatever Kevin was trying to talk Bryan into wasn’t sounding like such a good idea anymore.

But Kevin was persistent.

“You’re going to feel ridiculous if you chicken out now.” There was a pause, and I knew more than likely Kevin had hugged his still-nervous friend. “Besides, it’s just a question, it’s not like you have to do anything.”

“But what if he thinks it’s stupid or too personal?” Bryan’s voice dipped quieter, but I heard his nerves even more clearly.

“Then he’ll politely tell us that, but the chances of that are slim. We’re not asking about him, just about it in general.”

Now they both had me curious.

Bryan sometimes stayed late at the end of the day and came in to talk to me about things because it generally took him a while to work up to it. He wasn’t technically my patient anymore, but he needed someone to talk to occasionally. Bryan was so much more confident about what he wanted and who he was than when I’d first met him, but sometimes his worries still got the best of him.

Kevin, on the other hand, loved dragging him out of his shell.

Sometimes they were an odd match for best friends, but they complemented each other perfectly. Each didn’t judge the other; they even helped bring out each other’s best qualities.

“This is stupid.” Bryan sighed.

Evidently Kevin had won.

I turned back to my desk, pretending to focus on the blank paperwork in front of me as a knock sounded and Kevin’s head popped around the door. He gave me an innocent smile that I’d very early on learned was completely fake. “Do you have a moment?”

“Of course.” Sometimes keeping a neutral expression around them was entirely too difficult.

“Great.” As he stepped into the room, I saw that he had a death grip on Bryan’s hand and was visibly dragging him into the room. But since I’d seen Bryan stand up to his overbearing best friend before, I wasn’t worried for him—Kevin’s health was clearly in jeopardy, however.

Bryan looked like he wanted to deck him.
